Ten in the Bin
Blurb:
Heartbroken, Dean Cartwright leaves Sydney and heads home, to the coastal town of Newcastle. In a bid to make new friends, he signs up for a local rugby league team where he meets a man known as Macca.
Dean and Macca are both front row forwards, meaning they’re the biggest guys on the team. Over six feet tall and over a hundred kilos each, they’re a force to be reckoned with.
But when Dean gets knocked out, Macca gets even by punching the other guy, and both Dean and Macca end up on the sideline.
Dean soon realizes that being knocked unconscious is the best thing to ever happen to him.So I wrote this little fic called Ten in the Bin.
It came about rather unexpectedly. We were travelling across the state, and during the nine hour drive, we drove through some town and my hubs pipes up and says, “I played footy on that field, and got knocked out.” Then he laughed, and said, “They carried me off and sat me on the sideline. Then Goomy (a friend of his) was sitting beside me and said ‘s’alright mate, I’ll get him’ and literally ran out onto the field, played the ball and punched the guy who hit me right in the mouth. Got sent off, sat back down beside me and said ‘told ya I’d get him’. He was on the paddock for thirty seconds, tops.”
And so this little story was born.
I was supposed to be writing a long 60+K word story, but couldn’t get these Aussie boys out of my head. It’s only short. 12.5K words long and is written in Australian/British english, using Australian terms and phrases.
I’m sure some readers will find that distracting, and won’t like it, but I’m an Aussie, so you’ll just have to deal, k?
These boys play rugby league in winter, cricket on the beach in summer. They’re big guys – tall, muscular, thick-set. Dean is 6ft tall (183cm) and 100kg (220lbs) and Darren is 188cm (6’2″ ) and 110kg (242lbs). They’re front row forwards (front-rowers) and meet when Dean comes back to Newcastle and ends up playing footy to meet some new friends. But it’s not until Dean gets knocked out and Darren gets sidelined that these two really connect.
Some visuals of these characters?
Well, Dean is on the front cover. The lovely and very talented Sara York made it for me. I found the pic, and just HAD to have it as my cover. Here he is again 🙂
Darren, or Macca as he’s known, looks a little like this
or like this
I hope you enjoy these boys. It’s a quick, smutfest of testosterone and footy and guys who fall in love.
It should be up on Amazon in the next day (up to 12 hours to load), then ARe and Smashwords for .99c, and I will post links when I have them.

New blog site!! (Because Blogger sucks ass)
** Imported from my blogger page**
Blogger has decided to change it’s “Adult content” policy, which has left me little option but to leave. 🙁
The email I received, as did a lot of others, stated that any sites displaying links to ‘adult products’ would be deleted. The email, in its entirety reads:
You are receiving this message because you are the admin of a blog hosted on Blogger which is identified to have Adult content.
Please be advised that on June 30th 2013, we will be updating our Content Policy to strictly prohibit the monetization of Adult content on Blogger. After June 30th 2013, we will be enforcing this policy and will remove blogs which are adult in nature and are displaying advertisements to adult websites.
If your adult blog currently has advertisements which are adult in nature, you should remove them as soon as possible as to avoid any potential Terms of Service violation and/or content removals.
Sincerely,
The Blogger Team
My concern is that they will view gay erotica as an ‘adult product’ and while I can delete pics they may deem ‘inappropriate’ I can’t, and won’t, delete links or information on my books.
Soooo, where does that leave me??
WordPress is where.
My new-look blog site is http://nrwalker.net/
So please head on over and check it out!! I hope to see you there! It’s still a work-in-progress, and I hope to sort it all out over the weekend.
And a wee reminder, that Ten in the Bin, my little 12k football fic, will be out on the 1st of July <3

Blogger’s new “adult content” rules
There’s been much discussion recently of a blanket email sent out by Blogger, advising that any site with “adult content” will be deleted by June 30th.
*sigh*
Which brings me to WordPress.
Not that I linked, or posted links, to “adult content sites” but given I write gay erotica and given the reputation of sites such as Blogger tagging such content as “inappropriate” (and in light of the email stating as much) I have decided to move over here. 🙂
I’m hoping to have much of the site transferred over by this weekend and I hope you all don’t mind the teething problems, as it’s a given that I struggle adapting to new technology. LOL
Please let me know if the links don’t work, or if you encounter any other issues.
For those new to this site, my old blog is here

Number One!
OH EM GEEEEEE
So today was a good day for Blindside!
And this one, too…
Getting to Number One on both sites on the same day is so amazing, and humbling and amazing, and brilliant and amazing.
The incredible part is, Blindside makes 3 from 3. Blind Faith, Through These Eyes, and now Blindside, have all reached the awesome Number 1 (on Amazon) milestone.
And it just proves one thing…
I HAVE THE BEST READERS ON THE PLANET.
It’s true.
I just wanted to say thank you, to all who’ve supported me, and these boys. It really means more than what ‘thank you’ can convey.
To mark this epic occasion, I’ll be giving away an ebook copy of Blindside! Please just leave a comment below, and on Monday 6pm (Sydney AEST) I’ll pick a random winner!
And one more final gif, because Sheldon Cooper doing Star Trek is just too damn much 🙂

Blindside is available now!
Blindside – Mark’s story is live!!
You can buy it at
Blindside at AReBlindside at Smashwords
Blindside at Amazon
Blindside is the third installment in the Blind Faith series. We met Mark in Blind Faith and Through These Eyes. Best friend to Carter; loyal, funny and commitment-phobe, he’s about to be blindsided by love.
The poor guy won’t know what’s hit him.
I’m really excited about this book. Hope you all love Mark and Will like I do <3
I need to thank some people for making it happen. Sara York for the amazing cover, Erika Orrick for the fabulous job she did editing (I exposed her to my bloody comma addiction) and of course, Will Parkinson for encouraging (read: pestering) me to give Mark a story.

Blindside – Mark’s Story: Blind Faith 3
I’ve been a bit of a blog fail, sorry. Real life has kind of buried me of late.
I have a beautiful cover for Blindside!!! Made by the oh-so talented Sara York.
I’m hoping it will be released in the next few days. It is still with my editor at the moment, but as soon as I have it back, I’ll be uploading it to Amazon.
Mark is a great character. He was fun to write. His mother is hilarious and possibly one of my favourite supporting characters I’ve written.
Mark’s mother, Susan
Mark’s relationship with Will is a little complicated. They’re best friends, and Mark learnt with Carter, that staying platonic with friends keeps the friendship in tact. He never thought of Will as anything more than a friend because he valued his friendship too much.
Will Parkinson
But things for Will are about to change. He becomes unsettled and unhappy, and Mark remembers Carter being the same way before he moved to Boston. Scared of losing Will to the same fate, Mark takes it upon himself to find Will a reason to stay.
A boyfriend.
What Mark doesn’t realize, is that the wheels he sets in motion will change things forever.
Mark gets knocked off his feet, blindsided, and everything he thought about love and life, is about to come crashing down.
Mark’s song is Out on The Town by FUN. The lyrics, posted below, sum him up perfectly.
Lyrics to ‘Out on the town’ …
I set all my regrets on fire
Cause I know I’ll never take the time
To unpack my missteps and call all of my friends,
I figure they would take your side.
I make the bed, just not that well.
Your name comes up a lot when I talk to my mom,
Oh I think she can tell…I was out on the town so I came to your window last night.
I tried not to throw stones, but I wanted to come inside.
Now I’m causing a scene thinking you need a reason to smile.
Oh, no. What have I done?
There’s no one to keep me warm.So maybe I should put out the fire,
I’ll call them back and borrow a box knife
So I could learn to live with all the stupid shit I’ve been doing since ’99
And I know I could be more clever,
And I know I could be more strong.
But I’m waiting for the day to come back and say,
Hey, maybe I should change my mind.
I drink a lot, I’m not sure if that’s new.
But these days when I wake up from a night I forgot,
I just wish that it never came trueI was out on the town so I came to your window last night.
I tried not to throw stones, but I wanted to come inside.
Now I’m causing a scene thinking you need a reason to smile.
Oh, no. What have I done?
There’s no one to keep me warm.
I could be more clever,
And I know I could be more strong,
And I know I could be more clever,
And I know I could be more cleverI knew there’d come a day,
When all was said and done,
And everything I want is everything but gone
All my big mistakes are bouncing off your wall.
The bottles never break, the sun will never come
So come on let me in.
I will be the sun.
I will wake you up.
I’ll move slow.
Just open up your heart, open up your heart, open up your heart.
I was out on the town so I came to your window last night.
I tried not to throw stones, but I wanted to come inside.
Now I’m causing a scene thinking you need a reason to smile.
Oh, no. What have I done?
There’s no one to keep me warm.I’ll post some more news on the release of Blindside when I know more. As for now, I’m starting to write Starting Point (Point of No Return 3) and I can’t wait to give these boys the proper HEA they deserve.
