Best of Both Worlds

  • Good Morning Monday ~ Denver Edition!

Denver, Colorado, I am in you!  I’m currently sitting in the lobby of the Marriott in Denver. Literally.

I promise I will post more pics of my trip to the USA when I get home and get organised. I will say though, that GRL has been a wonderfully fun time and I have thoroughly enjoyed catching up with old friends and meeting new ones! The absolute best part for me is being with my book family. You know how it is, we can talk books to our friends and they all nod and smile (and probably think we’re crazy) but everyone who attends GRL gets it. Like, really gets it.  These are my people, and that’s what I love most.

Just a quick post really to update you on BEST OF BOTH WORLDS. It is finally free on Amazon, but not in Europe. Amazon are yet to explain to me why this is, but I’m working on it. You can find it at Smashwords, B&N, and iBooks.

And a heads up that BREAKING POINT will be re-released this week. The rights return to me on the 26th and I will be doing my best to get it back out asap. Fingers crossed for the 27th.

Okay, so that’s it for this week! I will post more on my trip next week and share some photos! Much love! And until then…

  • New Release Today! And it’s FREE :)

Yep, you read that right. That free book I’ve been talking about for a while is OUT NOW!

Best of Both Worlds is a drabble story. What’s a drabble, you ask? Drabbles are, according to Wikipedia,

drabble is a short work of fiction of around one hundred words in length. The purpose of the drabble is brevity, testing the author’s ability to express interesting and meaningful ideas in a confined space.

Sometimes drabble-fiction is just one drabble. A haiku, if you will. Sometimes it’s lots of them to make one full story. And that’s what Best of Both Worlds is. It’s a 20,000 word story told in 100 word increments/chapters. It’s not like a “real” (properly structured) book.

The gorgeous cover, which I don’t believe I’ve shared with you yet, was made my James at Go On Write, and I saw it on a presale site and just HAD to have it 🙂

    BLURB:

** This 20,000-word story is told in drabbles: each chapter consisting of only 100 words.**

Sebastian Gilman meets a guy on a dance floor every Friday night. He knows nothing about him, not even his name, only to find one day this familiar stranger turns up on his building site and they need to work together.

Ryland Keller knows better than to get involved. Alone and half a country away from home, he revels in isolation until a handsome man in a gay bar turns his world upside down.

Sebastian wants to help Ryland recover from a horrible past, but only if Ryland can let his guard down long enough to see that he can have the best of both worlds.

And yes, it’s going to be perma-free (permanently free).  Currently, I’m waiting on Smashwords to distribute to B&N and iTunes. Amazon will only price-match to $0.00 if the book is listed on B&N and iTunes. It might take a few days, but I’ll be sure to post the links asap.

For now, you can get it from Smashwords for FREE. The listed price at Amazon is currently .99c because they won’t list anything for free without being forced to price-match. The links are:

    FREE – Smashwords

    $0.99c – Amazon

    Enjoy! And happy reading!
