It’s a busy week! This week marks my 9th anniversary of publishing! I honestly can’t decide if that’s flown by or if it feels like a hundred years… A bit of both, I think. It’s been a helluva ride. 57 titles, 43 audios, 45 translations in 4 different languages, with hopefully a lot more to come.

  • Good Morning Monday ~ Busy Again!

It’s been another busy week, but then again, I haven’t had a non-busy week in years LOL.  Though my daughter got her drivers license last week and it has really freed up a lot of my time. I used to spend a lot of my days driving kids all over town – sometimes leaving the house 8 or 10 times per day – but now she’s mobile, I don’t have to do that anymore. It’s like I’m getting a little bit of my life back! So yay for that!

I didn’t manage a great deal of words this week, but my WIP is now at 10K and should be about 50% done. It’s only a super short story, but it’s taking longer than I wanted it to. Real-life and dealing with some professional changes as well has really cut into my time. It’s all good, and positive, just time-consuming. But I’m hoping to almost wrap up the WIP this week. It’s fun and flirty, and will be my 2019 Christmas story. Anyone who knows me knows I’m not a huge fan of Christmas so in keeping with that theme, one of the main character’s hates Christmas, and the other is a little more festive, but it’s certainly no Hallmark Christmas movie. LOL  The book itself is a little bit secret-squirrel stuff, but as soon as I can disclose more, I most certainly will. Though I can say there is a Christmas themed masquerade ball and you may never think of Rudolph the same way again.  🙂

We’ve been dog-sitting my friend’s 8-month-old rottweiler, and it’s been like having a 45kg toddler in the house. He gets into everything, doesn’t listen, and the biggest most adorable marshmallow ever. LOL Our dog Ruby loves him, they rumble all day long, stampede through the house at 5am, and trash everything in the process. But it’s cute, and we honestly don’t deserve dogs. They make everything better 🙂

Oh, and in case you missed this last week…

And the audio of Galaxies and Oceans is up for pre-order!! It comes out tomorrow!

    You can find it HERE!

Okay that’s it for this week. Nothing too exciting to report, really. Fingers crossed, next week I’ll have some exciting audio news for you and I can say I’m finished my WIP 🙂

    Until then…

  • Good Morning Monday! What a Week…

What a week indeed.  The release of Sir was fabulous, so a HUGE thank you to everyone who read and reviewed Sig, Levin, and Hunter’s story. Sir broke into the #1 in six or seven countries on release day, and is still doing really well. I’m so glad people are loving that little book! It was fun and very different, and I love using creative muscles I don’t get to use very often. Thank you guys, for supporting me and reading my books.

You can find Sir at Amazon

    Be quick!

Upside Down is still on sale at all retailers, but only for another couple of days. If you haven’t grabbed it yet, I strongly urge you to do so today. It will also be leaving wide distribution and heading back into Kindle Unlimited.

    You can find it at:

    Audio Releases

After a lifetime in purgatory, Audible has FINALLY released THROUGH THESE EYES!!

    You can find it HERE!

The audio of Finders Keepers is OUT NOW!!   You can find it HERE!

And the audio of Galaxies and Oceans is up for pre-order!!

    You can find it HERE!

    Audio update:

I know at the beginning of the year, I had said there would be a range of audios coming out in 2019. That has since changed, and all future audio productions are on hold for the moment. Thus far, this year alone, I’ve had 9 or 10 already, which is a LOT.  The production of Sir has been scheduled for later in the year and that will be happening. I also believe Nova Praetorian will be out sometime soon as well, but apart from these two titles, audios will slow down for a while.

    Thank you for understanding.

Tallowwood is now with my editor (yay!) and I’ve started something new! It’s only very new – this week has been kinda stressful in dealing with some stuff and was not kind for productivity and words, but I have started it so that’s something I guess. I can’t say much more about this new book than that at this point because it’s secret squirrel stuff. But it will be a lot of fun and I’m certain my readers’ will love it!

Okies, that’s it for this week. Until then…

  • Good Morning Monday! Nova Praetorian Blurb and Cover Reveal!

Yep, you guessed it! It’s been another busy week. They’re all so busy, at this point we should just take busy as a given and I’ll let you know if I have a non-busy week LOL

I did manage to finish my Christmas Angel story. OMG I didn’t think it would ever end! LOL But A Soldier’s Wish is now done at 55K words. I’m so relieved!! And I do love these boys – they’re super sweet and truly deserve their HEA.

So this week I’ll be working on edits on Nova, writing a blurb for A Soldier’s Wish, and doing some research for a short (20K-ish) story with some characters you’ve already met. My lips are sealed though! I can’t say anything because it’s a surprise. (No, it’s not Charlie and Travis… 🙁  They’re off living their HEA and don’t need me anymore *sobs*)

But I’m excited to start it, and I have another two characters who have been waiting ever so patiently for me to start their story. I’m getting there, guys… I promise.

I have the blurb, though it still might be tweaked or polished yet, so this is the unofficial  version.  I can’t tell you how much I adored these two men and if more Ancient Roman characters decided they needed a story I wouldn’t be too upset. LOL

You’ve seen the cover, but because it’s so beautiful you can have it again 😉

Quintus Furius Varus is one of the best lanistas in Rome. Tall and strong in build, fearsome in manner and sharp of wit, he trains the best gladiators bound for the arenas of Rome. When Senator Servius Augendus seeks personal guards, he attends the Ludus Varus for purchase of the very best. He puts to Quintus an offer he cannot refuse, and Quintus finds himself in Neapolis contracted as a trainer of guards instead of gladiators.

Kaeso Agorix was taken from his homelands of Iberia and delivered to Rome as a slave. Bought by a senator to be trained as a guard, his fate is handed to the man who would train him. Absent free will, Kaeso knows his life is no longer his own, but soon realises the gods have shined upon him when he learns the man who trains him has a good heart.

Quintus and Kaeso forge a bond that far exceeds the collar at Kaeso’s neck, and together they discover the senator’s move for promotion has an ulterior motive. Thrown into a world of politics and conspiracy, they move against time to save Rome before traitors and the gods themselves see to their end.

And in doing so, see the dawn of the nova praetorian—the new guard—rise.

As I said above, I still might tweak it… blurbs are a weird thing. So if someone adds this to Goodreads and the official blurb is different, that’s not my fault. 🙂

Still no update on release date. I’m hoping to have it out before I leave on October 13th but I can’t guarantee that. If not, it will be when I return in the last week of October.

Galaxies and Oceans is now available at other retailers!!

    Barnes & Noble

Kobo and Apple Books aren’t live yet but they should be sometime today 🙂

    And Amazon of course.

Oh, and my paperbacks are being migrated to Ingram Spark. Because of the number of them, it will happen in stages. You may see them disappear from Amazon for a day or two, but they’ll be back up asap!

Okay that’s it this week!  I have much to do and I’m running out of time. I leave for the US in 19 days but my kids only have 4 more days of school this term and then my writing/work time will be cut. Busy, busy!

    Until next week… <3

  • Good Morning Monday ~ And some other ramblings

So release week of Galaxies and Oceans has been awesome! From the feedback and comments I’ve seen, Patrick and Aubrey have found their way into the hearts of a lot of people. I’m so proud of these boys and thrilled that folks love them too. <3

Over the first two to three days of release, Galaxies and Oceans went to #1 in seven countries in the LGBT categories!!  People from all the world over have quoted parts of this book and told me how much they felt these characters. To know I can touch readers with my words is an amazing and humbling thing. I’ll never take for granted the gift I have been given to reach people, and I’ll never take for granted the readers who choose to read one of my books.

There is a responsibility that comes with writing, with reaching out and representing the LGBT+ community. Our choice of words can impact, can heal, can help. They can also harm. It’s important, as an author, for me to remember I have a responsibility to listen and learn – to hear. I hope I can continue to reach out and help others. Not just readers, but other authors as well.

Just yesterday, something on Amazon was brought to my attention. A cover (not mine) looked familiar to some people and questions were being asked. I took it upon myself to contact the author and, privately and politely, asked if they were aware of a possible copyright infringement.  The author replied, horrified. No, they didn’t know. No, they were unaware and thought everything was above board. They’re new to writing, to this genre. This poor author was almost physically ill after realising what they’d done. They fixed the mistake, and all is right with the world again.

Do I want a medal? LOL no.  Why am I telling you? Because I was a newbie once too. Hell, some days I still feel like I am. I had people help and guide me, and I like to think I can pay it back by paying it forward.

Anyway, after all the drama that unfolded in the M/M world this week, I wrote a long-ass post about author behaviour and responsibility and then, after much deliberation, I deleted it. I try and keep my GMM posts about productivity and fun, and I want to keep it that way.

So, on that note, an update with my WIP: I think I have a title, but I’m still undecided. Currently it’s at 51K words and I’ve sent it to my sister to pre-read because I think it’s a hot mess and at this point I don’t know if it will see the light of day. *sigh*

Oh, I almost forgot! The paperbacks of Galaxies and Oceans are here and they’re gorgeous!!

You can order from Amazon, or if you’d like a signed copy you can order from HERE!

Anywhoooooo, that’s it for this week.  Remember, be kind, be safe. Until next week…

  • Good Morning Monday ~ It’s Galaxies and Oceans Day!!

    Goooooood morning Monday, indeed!!

It’s Galaxies and Oceans release day, so I’m super excited!! I’ll keep this post short and sweet because I have SO much to do today 🙂

Seizing his one chance to escape, Ethan Hosking leaves his violent ex-boyfriend, leaves his entire life, and walks into the path of a raging bushfire. Desperate to start over, a new man named Aubrey Hobbs walks out of the fire-ravaged forest, alive and alone. With no ID and no money, nothing but his grandfather’s telescope, he goes where the Southern Cross leads him.

Patrick Carney is the resident lighthouse keeper in Hadley Cove, a small town on the remote Kangaroo Island off the coast of South Australia. After the tragic death of his lover four years ago, he lives a solitary life; just him, a tabby cat, the Indian and Southern Oceans, and a whole lot of loneliness. He’s content with his life until a stranger shows up in town and turns Patrick’s head.

Patrick never expected to be interested in anyone else.

Aubrey never expected to be happy.

Between Aubrey’s love of the stars and Patrick’s love of the ocean, these two fragile hearts must navigate new waters. If they can weather the storm of their pasts, they could very well have a love that eclipses everything.

It’s a gentle story about learning to live again, and finding peace. I can not wait for you all to meet Aubrey and Patrick! I adored writing their story, and I hope you enjoy it too!

And a super quick WIP update:

My newest WIP is now at 42K words. I thought I had a title but a quick google later and it turned out it’s also the name of an online game. LOL So I’m undecided whether I will still use it. Even though I’ve written it into the story LOL  Oh well…  More news to come soon!

Until next week, be safe and happy reading!! <3
