• Good Morning Monday ~ Busy Again!

It’s been another busy week, but then again, I haven’t had a non-busy week in years LOL.  Though my daughter got her drivers license last week and it has really freed up a lot of my time. I used to spend a lot of my days driving kids all over town – sometimes leaving the house 8 or 10 times per day – but now she’s mobile, I don’t have to do that anymore. It’s like I’m getting a little bit of my life back! So yay for that! I didn’t manage a great deal of words this week, but my WIP is now at 10K and should be…

  • Good Morning Monday! What a Week…

What a week indeed.  The release of Sir was fabulous, so a HUGE thank you to everyone who read and reviewed Sig, Levin, and Hunter’s story. Sir broke into the #1 in six or seven countries on release day, and is still doing really well. I’m so glad people are loving that little book! It was fun and very different, and I love using creative muscles I don’t get to use very often. Thank you guys, for supporting me and reading my books.   You can find Sir at Amazon Be quick! Upside Down is still on sale at all retailers, but only for another couple of days. If…

  • Good Morning Monday ~ First Draft From Hell Is Done!

OMG finally finally finally!! The first draft of this bloody book is done!! It’s very rough and needs a mountain of work and fixing before I can send it off to beta-readers, but it’s DONE!!  It came in at a rather plump 95,400 words. I had originally thought it would be three x 30,000-word novellas, but the characters were adamant it be one book. The word count was pretty much the same either way, but I think it will make for a better reading experience. And the title? Tallowwood. Tallowwood is a fictional town where the majority of the book takes place. It’s set in Australia, the two main…

I know that not everyone has/wants KU but unfortunately, it’s a necessary evil for me and my books in the way of visibility and reach. I do appreciate your understanding!  But if you haven’t met Jordan and Hennessy yet, you’re in for a treat! In Audio news, Through These Eyes (Blind Faith 2) and Sense of Place (Thomas Elkin 3) should be hitting the airwaves any day now.  I’m so…

  • Good Morning Monday! For The Love of Audio!

It’s been a busy week in world of audio!  Elements of Retrofit AND Blind Faith are out now, and I’m so excited to FINALLY be getting my backlist organised for audio. Blind Faith was first released in 2012, so it’s been a long time coming, and my Thomas Elkin series was 2013. Audios are rather expensive to produce and I have a LOT of books, so planning which books and when hasn’t been easy. But I’m so freaking happy how these turned out. Nick Russo narrated Elements of Retrofit and he is the perfect Thomas and Cooper. The job he’s done on these two guys is perfection. And it can’t…

  • Good Morning Monday! April Already? How is that possible?

Yes, it’s April. I don’t know how that happened, and I don’t know why the speed of time passing always surprises me. One day, I’m making a schedule for the new year and the next thing I know, the year’s almost half over. Yet here we are. This week has been crazy. I’ve been struggling to get words down in my WIP. It’s just not going as well as I’d hoped. I’m up to 64K words, but it’s nowhere near done. And to be honest, I’m not sure what I’m doing is even right. I kinda feel way out of my depth on this one, but in the words of…

  • Good Morning Monday ~ What a Week!

It’s been a busy one, productive, and exciting. I’ve finally managed to get some words done in my WIP which is a huge relief. I can tell you it’s a Christmas story and it’s set in 1969-1970, revolved around Woodstock and Vietnam. And it’s titled A Soldier’s Wish. It’s currently at 32K and I’m thinking there’s another 10-15 to go.  It’s part of a group release, involving a bunch of other awesome authors, and I can speak more about it soon. Release day is December 2nd. I’ve also had some translation releases! The Weight of it All is now in German! Ein Kleines Bisschen Versuching is out now! Amazon.de A…

  • Good Morning Monday! September is here!

September already, which is the beginning of Spring for us Aussies. And I have to say, as much as I love winter, I’m actually looking forward to being able to sit outside and get some writing done with some warmer weather. Don’t worry, I’ll be complaining about the heat soon LOL I didn’t do a post last week for a few reasons. Mostly because I did two the week before with the release of Private Charter and I don’t want anyone to feel like I’m spamming them. And two, I haven’t been productive in my writing so I kind of felt like I had nothing to say unless it was…

  • Good Morning Monday ~ What’s on in August?

Yes, holy crap it’s August! This year has gone so fast it makes my head spin. It was another busy week in Walkerland, and seriously I need another word for busy. My WIP, Nova Praetorian, is now at 92K and I pretty much only two or three more scenes to write. Then I can start the endless/funless job of trying to fix it. It’s an unholy mess right now. It’s written in third person, which is not my usual MO. And for the first 50K words, I’ve somehow managed to write it from everyone’s point of view, not just the MC’s. I’ve headhopped so much not even Freud couldn’t make…
