    SURPRISE!!

Imagoes is an Imago Series short story and it’s OUT NOW!!  Imagoes is 17,000 words, and takes place approximately 4-5 years after Red Dirt Heart Imago.  The gorgeous cover is made by Cover Affairs and the paperback will be available soon! I haven’t done a surprise release in years but I don’t think anyone will mind 😉

    Blurb:

When Jack receives a phone call from a colleague in the southeast of Tasmania with news of a newfound butterfly habitat, he and Lawson head off on another adventure.

It’s not an easy trek to the location. The Franklin-Gordon National Park is famous for wild rivers, rainforests, and rocky cliff faces, and they’ll need to hike and abseil—in the dead of winter—to get to the site.

It’s no ordinary expedition because this is no ordinary butterfly, and Jack and Lawson aren’t an ordinary couple.

Join Jack and Lawson on another quest in this short story of extraordinary butterflies and extraordinary love.

    💙💗💙

    BUT WAIT… THERE’S MORE!

Imago and Imagines are just 99c as well!!  So is Red Dirt Heart Imago… THEY’RE ALL JUST 99c!!

Thanks to everyone who made this possible!  See you all again on Monday for my usual Good Morning Monday post! Happy reading, stay safe, and be kind to yourself.

  • Good Morning Monday and what a bloody week it was!

OMG this week… So busy, but productive, thank God! What I got done this week:

    • Wrote 16,000 words to finish the first draft of On Davis Row 🙂
    • Wrote the blurb for On Davis Row (I swear, the 92K word story was easier lol)
    • Completed edits on 82,000 words for the re-release of Breaking Point (Oct 27th)
    • Organised/ordered 96 paperback pre-order books to be delivered to Denver
    • The Weight Of It All was released on Audio
    • Negotiated a contract for all FOUR Spencer Cohen books to be done in Audio
    • Imagines and Perfect Catch came off KU and went to other retailers
    • Set up a CafePress store!

Not to mention the real life/mum things I’ve been doing all week. My kids go back to school this week, so I’ll have some free hours to get everything ready for my big trip to America next week!

Speaking of my trip, I leave home early early next Monday morning (16th) so there’s a very good chance there will be NO post from me next week. And the following Monday, I’ll be in Denver, travelling back to LA, ready to fly home at midnight. So there might not be a post from me for the next two weeks. I’ll be sure to make up for it though with lots of pics when I return.

I’m so excited to meeting up with everyone again, and meeting new faces! I can’t wait!!

For those who may have missed previous posts, this is the gorgeous cover for On Davis Row. I can’t share the blurb yet because it’s unedited. Release date should be late November 🙂

I can’t remember if I’ve shared with you the new cover for Breaking Point… The very talented Reese Dante made the three covers for the re-releases. Due to be out on October 27th, Breaking Point has been re-edited and tidied but no new content has been added.

Be sure to grab POINT OF NO RETURN (book 1 in the Turning Point Series) while it’s still on special for just 99c!

The audio of The Weight of it All was released this week to RAVE reviews! I’m so thrilled people are enjoying Henry and Reed’s story in audio as much as the book, and the wonderful narrator, Joel Leslie, really brings Henry to life.

You can find it at Audible HERE

Tantor Audio have requested all FOUR Spencer Cohen books!!  I’m beyond stoked for these boys to go to audio, especially Yanni’s Story, which I’d never have been able to afford to self-pub into audio because of its length. No dates yet, but I’m imagining they’ll be spread out over next year! Stay tuned for more details.

All my books will be coming out of Kindle Unlimited for now. If and/or when I decide to put them back remains to be seen. They probably will but I’m happy for them to go wide at the time being. (New releases will be in KU and Spencer Cohen 1 has two more months).

Imagines is the next title to be released wide.

You can now find Imagines at:

    Smashwords

    Payhip

And I’ll share the links to B&N and iBooks when they become available.

Perfect Catch is also going wide!

You can find it at Smashwords and Payhip!

Other retail sites to follow asap!

And my new swag store is now at Cafe Press!! There are lots of new and fun products, so be sure to check them out!

So that’s all my news this week! This week will be busy with travel plans and getting packed and organised. I have some real life things to take care of this week before I leave, so I doubt there’ll be any writing, maybe some tweaking of drafts etc, but that’s about it.

    Until then… <3

  • Good Morning Monday ~ And what a week it was

These Mondays are just coming too damn fast! This year is just flying, and some days I feel as if I’m barely keeping my head above water (while the words ‘just keep swimming’ pay on loop in my head).

So this was an interesting week… Imagines came out! And because I have the most incredible readers on the planet, it went straight to Number One in Gay Romance!!  In the first 24 hours, Imagines was #1 in 6 countries!  I’ll never not be amazed, and truly humbled. If you’ve bought, read, reviewed, whatever, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

You can find Imagines at Amazon.

As you may or may not know, an ARC of Imagines was put on a pirate site before release day. That means someone who was trusted with an Advanced Reader Copy shared the file with someone else.

The investigations are still ongoing, so I can’t say too much, but it’s made me rethink my sending-of-ARCs process. There is a long version response, but the short version is I probably won’t be sending out any more ARCs. 🙁  I’m still undecided, and my feelings might change at some point, but as of right now my answer is no.

So, how should people who steal books be treated? Well, I’m not really a violent person, but there’s this…

From extreme lows to awesome highs, the audio of Red Dirt Heart 2 was voted Audio of the Month at Love Bytes! A HUGE thank you to all the readers who voted, and especially to Joel for the amazing job he did giving Charlie and Travis a voice. <3

On a personal note, I’ve been struggling with illness. About two months ago, I was mowed down with some kind of virus and I’m simply not recovering. Basically, I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. So far, they’re calling it Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome, but I’ve had more tests done to see if it’s not anything else. Thankfully my doctor is keen to help me get to the bottom of it.

It’s really killed my productivity and ability to focus on writing. I’m so exhausted all day long that I’m struggling to write at all. My WIP is at 10K, and it should have probably been finished by now.  I’ve ordered Dragon speech software, which I’m hoping will arrive this week, and it’ll be interesting to see if I can get more done that way. I’m told it takes some learning, but perseverance is key. Also, teaching it Australian might be funny (or infuriating), and who knows? If I don’t say the word “comma” eleventy billion times, my editor just might thank me 🙂

Fingers crossed it helps and I can dictate my words instead of typing.

    Until next week… <3

  • Good Morning Monday! Imagines is OUT NOW!

Imagines, the sequel to Imago, is out now!  Exclusive to Amazon and available to KU subscribers, you can find it HERE!

    BLURB:

Jack Brighton and Lawson Gale have been together for six months and are very much in love. Lawson’s work ensuring the survival of the Tillman Copper is as demanding as ever, and Jack’s work with the regeneration of the bushfire-ravaged national park is just as hectic.

When Jack suggests they take a short trip, Lawson agrees. But then he is offered a two-week research position in tropical Queensland to help determine why the Ulysses butterfly is on the decline. Figuring they could combine work and pleasure, Jack and Lawson go on their first vacation together.

Working alongside renowned professor Piers Bonfils isn’t easy. But personal and professional differences aside, Lawson is offered a more permanent role in Queensland. Torn between his new life in Tasmania with Jack and a dying species of butterfly he feels compelled to save, Lawson has to decide where his fate lies.

But fate changes the rules. On a research expedition into the depths of the rainforest, suddenly it’s not only the butterflies’ existence that hangs in the balance.

A butterfly’s life cycle never changes. From larvae to imago, their course is plotted by design. Jack and Lawson need to determine where they stand, if they live through it. Because the only thing more incredible than one imago is two.

I’ve also had an ARC pirated this week, which I will post about later. That’s right. An Advanced Reader Copy of Imagines was put online for free-to-download BEFORE release day. I’ll go into more detail on that later 🙁

Also, I’ve recently joined Pronoun! It’s an exciting new site for authors and publishers. You can find me HERE.

  • Good Morning Monday! April, ahoy!

It’s just a short one from me today. I can’t believe it’s April already – but the days are getting shorter, colder. It’s dark when I get up now, and the sun sets sooner, which means winter is on its way. I love the colder weather though. There’s something about wearing woolly jumpers and fluffy socks that’s comforting to me. Don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll be complaining about it when I’m standing court side at tennis in the freezing cold at the butt crack of dawn, wishing it was summer. LOL

Imagines update: Everything is on track for release on the 10th April. ARCs should go out in the next day or so. I can’t wait for everyone to read it!!

WIP update: I have started Yanni’s Story. I’m barely into it though, but I can tell already there will be angst, but also personal growth and the realisation of self-worth. There is an age-gap. I’m not sure if you remember from Spencer Cohen Book Two, but Yanni is 21 years old, and Peter is 43. (Reminiscent of Tom and Cooper, no? LOL) But there will be daddy-kink as well, which is something Tom and Cooper never really delved into.

I’m away at the end of the week for a few days, so I’m doubtful there will be a post next week. I won’t have much to report on anyway, because there will be very little writing done this week. *sigh* Such is real life.

    Until then…  <3

  • Good Morning Monday! News, updates and Imagines

It’s almost April, and boy is it going to be a busy month for me. I have a release, a blog tour, a bookbub featured deal, and some other secret squirrel stuff happening, AND I’m also away for 20 days of it. I highly doubt I’ll be online much over the next month and would urge anyone who needs to reach me to email (not PM or tagging on FB because I just won’t see them).  It also means I won’t get much writing done, so it will be a while before my next books come out. As frustrating as it is, these things can’t be helped, I guess.

My next book, which I hope to start this week, is Yanni’s Story. You might remember Yanni from the Spencer Cohen Series. I’m really looking forward to letting his story unfold. I imagine there will be some angst, but it will mostly be a story of healing, age-gap/daddy-kink 🙂

Imagines now has an official blurb!

Jack Brighton and Lawson Gale have been together for six months and are very much in love. Lawson’s work ensuring the survival of the Tillman Copper is demanding as ever, and Jack’s work with the regeneration of the bushfire-ravaged national park is just as hectic.

    RELEASE DATE: April 10th

I’ve also taken three books out of the Amazon exclusivity clause. This gives folks who don’t/can’t/won’t use Amazon to buy at other stores like iBooks, B&N, Kobo, etc. I do try and move all my books around to keep it fair, though it’s not always an easy feat and sometimes I forget… (I blame writer-brain for that LOL)

First, my Gay Sex Club Stories, written as A. Voyeur, can now be found at the following outlets:

    Payhip:  Book 1   Book 2

    Smashwords:  Book 1   Book 2

    Amazon:  Book 1   Book 2

And Blood & Milk can now be found at the following outlets:

    Payhip

    Smashwords

    Amazon

For some strange reason, Smashwords is taking aaaaaages to assess the files for distribution to iBooks, B&N, Kobo.  Normally they’re super quick and only take a day or two, but these are going on five days without any word. Fingers crossed it won’t be much longer. I’ll post links ASAP.

In audio news, Red Dirt Heart 3 has been scheduled for October, and production for Cronin’s Key is due to start real soon! I’ll be sure to keep you posted on any updates I have!

That’s it for this week!  I will try to keep posting updates during April though there may be a week or two where I can’t.  Until next week…

  • Good Morning Monday ~ Imagines Cover and News!

    good-morning-monday-2-with-frame

Well, it’s been another super busy week!  Despite being under the weather for most of the week, I finished the first draft of Imagines, did a read through, fixed some stuff, and it’s now in the hands of my editor. For those who missed it, the title of the sequel to Imago, is Imagines.

Finding the right title to follow on from Imago wasn’t easy, when it was so very specific to its meaning. So, going back to its origins, I found the the only thing better than one imago, was the plural… And so Imagines was so named.

The Latin plural of imago is imagines, and this is the term generally used by entomologists.

    Now for the cover!!

    imagines

In keeping with the original and how the Imago cover had the Tillman Copper on the cover, the cover of Imagines now represents the kind of butterfly Lawson is focused on in Imagines, which is the striking blue Ulysses.  Harper By Design has done another outstanding job.

I’m hoping to have Imagines out April 10th, but this is subject to change.

I’ll have the blurb to share with you soon as well 🙂   Jack and Lawson have been such a treat to write – so very lovely, sweet boys, and I hope everyone loves the conclusion to their story.

Now for some shameless bragging, Imago spent FOURTEEN days at #1 in the US Gay Fiction (except for two days in which Switched (my December release) went to #1 after a BookBub featured deal – so I had the #1 and #2 spots)  which is a HUGE feat!  I was so shocked and humbled. And it really does prove that I have the BEST readers on the planet! <3

    no-1-in-us-01-03-17 switched-and-imago-01-03-17

Imago has been Book of the Week at Love Bytes Reviews AND at Diverse Reader <3

Now, I know last week I said I wouldn’t have any books out in March… which has turned me into a liar. LOL  Because the Rote Erde 2 (the German translation to Red Dirt Heart 2) is NOW LIVE!!

    reddirtheart2german

You can find it at the following outlets:

    Amazon

    Smashwords

    B&N

    iBooks

That’s it for this week!  I will be away from home next weekend, so there probably won’t be a post. Until next time…
