• Good Morning Monday ~ This Week’s Update

Just a quick post this Monday.  I have a super busy week coming up, lots of real-life stuff to deal with but I’m still aiming to meet my daily word count goals.  My WIP is at 22K words and I’d like to see it reach 32K by the end of the week even though I’m likely to get first-round edits as well  🙂

Moving forward in 2020, I also intend to cut back my social media time, focusing on just a few places instead of trying to do everything. My Readers’ Group on FB will be my main hangout (I love that group). I will be mostly intermittent on twitter and Instagram, posting when I am able or if I have news/sales/new releases. There’s no other reason for this but time. It’s hard trying to do everything, to be everywhere. I need to focus my energy into my writing.

Oooh, I have audio news as well… the following titles have been booked in, though I can’t confirm actual release dates yet.

    • The Dichotomy of Angels – narrated by Nick Russo
    • Throwing Hearts – narrated by Glen Lloyd
    • Tallowwood – narrated by Antony Ferguson (release date March 24th)
    • Imago – narrated by Antony Ferguson
    • Imagines – narrated by Antony Ferguson
    • Private Charter – narrated by Antony Ferguson
    • The Hate You Drink – narrated by Antony Ferguson

I will post the other dates when I have them!

Okies, that’s it for this week. Next week I should have an excerpt from Throwing Hearts to share…  Can’t wait for you to meet Leo and Merrick!

    Until then…

  • Good Morning Monday ~ Cover Reveal of Throwing Hearts!

February is already cruising along nicely! And I’m very happy to say we’ve finally had some decent rain where I live. We’ve been in a severe drought for years but we have had actual RAIN!  The sound of it on my roof makes me happy! 🙂

Anyway, getting to the good stuff…

    Cover reveal time!!

I don’t have the edited blurb yet so I’ll save that for later, but for now, the cutest cover!  I made this cover haha but will need a professional to do the full wrap for me because I don’t have the skills for that. LOL  But Throwing Hearts is a 55K word story of fluff and love and ceramics, and this cover really captures that.  It kind of reminds me of my book Finders Keepers, in that it’s a sweet and sexy romance, with no conflict, no angst.  And I’m not gonna lie, it’s exactly what I need in my life right now.

I’m hoping the release date will be late Feb (approx the 28th) but that will depend on a few real-life things.

    WIP Update:

Current word count is 12K words, which I’m very happy with. I’m still hoping this will be a trilogy with each book being about 40K, but we’ll see how they play along when I get to the end of the first book. If it doesn’t have a proper ending, I may have to combine the three into one book. For me, each book – whether it’s in a series or not – must have a beginning, a middle, and an end. My Thomas and Spencer books each split into a trilogy perfectly, but Yanni didn’t. Yanni’s Story was supposed to be three separate books (to match Spencer) but the story didn’t pan out like that. Sure, the book has three parts, but “part one” does not make a “book one” if it doesn’t have a complete arc. At least in my eyes.

LOL  Anywhooooo, I won’t know how this new book will go until I get to the end…

Hoping for another 10-12K words this week…

    Until then.

  • Good Morning Monday ~ What’s New in February!

Was January not the longest month everrrrrrr? But, by the gods, we made it! February is finally here!  I can finally say that my WIP is finished and currently in my editor’s inbox. It’s called Throwing Hearts, and it’s 54K words of fluff and romance. There’s zero angst, zero conflict, lots of sexual tension, and lots of touchy-feely feels and love. I’ll be sharing the cover next week, so stay tuned!

This week my kids go back to school (after six weeks off omg) and so begins research for my new book. And guess what? I’m thinking it’s going to be a series!! A trilogy to be more exact. I’m still trying to work out details, and because I’m allergic to any kind of planning, this isn’t easy LOL  I’m keeping mum about it for now, until I get more fleshed out and actual words on paper. It will be set in Australia and it’s not a trope I’ve done before. It is a romance but there will be angst and heartbreak and… I’m pretty sure it will be all in one character’s POV.  Like my Red Dirt books, my Spencer Cohen books, and Thomas Elkin… all books are in the main character’s voice. UNLESS the characters decide to change that, idk. LOL

I’m excited to get started on this project! There’s always something wonderful and exciting and daunting to begin new things!
