Good Morning Monday! For The Love of Audio!
It’s been a busy week in world of audio! Elements of Retrofit AND Blind Faith are out now, and I’m so excited to FINALLY be getting my backlist organised for audio. Blind Faith was first released in 2012, so it’s been a long time coming, and my Thomas Elkin series was 2013. Audios are rather expensive to produce and I have a LOT of books, so planning which books and when hasn’t been easy.
But I’m so freaking happy how these turned out.
Nick Russo narrated Elements of Retrofit and he is the perfect Thomas and Cooper. The job he’s done on these two guys is perfection. And it can’t have been easy… Tom and Cooper grace a lot of people’s ‘favourite couples’ lists and readers have LOVED these characters for a long time. That makes for some pretty big shoes to fill, but he far exceeded my expectations. When he sent me the first few chapters for my opinion/proof, my reply to him was something like ‘OMG don’t change a thing!’ 🙂
You can find Elements at Audible and iBooks
Clarity of Lines (Book Two in the series) has been submitted to ACX and should be out in a few weeks.
My Blind Faith series was the first books I self-published. After going through the mess that was Silver Publishing, I withheld passing this series onto another publisher because I would have been going from having nine books published to none, and my newer publisher said they’d take a year or more to re-publish. I know things with publishers take longer, but there was no way I was not having any books out there in the world while I waited. So I gave the new publisher six titles and kept the Blind Faith boys and thought I’d give this self-publishing thing a go (best decision I ever made).
That was 2012.
Isaac and Carter are very special to me, and Michael Pauley did an amazing job narrating these boys. We all know Isaac is a prickly character, and a lot of readers probably hated him LOL so I was interested to see how Michael handled that. But it was fantastic, and I’m so thrilled he agreed to narrate them. He really is perfect for them!
You can find Blind Faith at Audilbe and it should be up at iBooks any day (no link yet, sorry)
Book Two shouldn’t be too far away either! I’m so excited, guys. I will let you all know when I know more!
That’s it for this week! Release of The Hate You Drink is getting closer and I’m super excited for that too! I’ve had some mixed feedback on my next manuscript so I’m not sure what to do with that yet, and my current WIP is a disaster. LOL Hopefully I’ll have more news on that next week!
Until then…

Good Morning Monday! April Already? How is that possible?
Yes, it’s April. I don’t know how that happened, and I don’t know why the speed of time passing always surprises me. One day, I’m making a schedule for the new year and the next thing I know, the year’s almost half over.
Yet here we are.
This week has been crazy. I’ve been struggling to get words down in my WIP. It’s just not going as well as I’d hoped. I’m up to 64K words, but it’s nowhere near done. And to be honest, I’m not sure what I’m doing is even right. I kinda feel way out of my depth on this one, but in the words of Dory, I need to ‘just keep swimming’.
*sigh*
In other news, my website is down temporarily. I wrote out a really long ranty post about why, but decided to delete it LOL. To make a long story short, my website is coming back to me. I’m not a control freak, this is the LAST thing I wanted or needed. I don’t have time for this. But here I am anyway. The address should remain as it was nrwalker (dot) net. Hopefully by next week’s post it will be back up.
So on a somewhat related note, and to put it quite frankly, 2019 is the year where I’m cancelling all incompetent people. I’m sick of being nice, understanding and concerned, only to be shit on.
AUDIO NEWS
ANYWHOOOOOOO, on a much nicer note, I’ve proofed the audio to Thomas Elkin, Elements of Retrofit and OMFG IT IS PERFECT!!!!! Nick Russo is amazing and I’m in love with this audio like holy shit it so good I can’t believe it. I’m hoping to have it go live in the next coming weeks. I can NOT wait for you guys to listen to it.
PAPERBACK NEWS
Upside Down is now available in paperback, and it is utterly gorgeous. I have copies ready for signing as well, so if you’d like a paperback, you have a few options:
You can buy from Amazon, Book Depository, and Barnes and Noble. Aussies can check it out at Booktopia. You can check with your favourite retailer.
OR
If you’d like a signed copy, you can check out my Google Form and order one. Cost of the book is $15AUD plus shipping to wherever you are. As a guide, to the US and to the UK, for the book and shipping, it will cost approx $32AUD which is approx $23USD and $17GBP (guide only).
That’s it for this week. Hopefully next week I’ll have a completed first draft and a new website. *crosses fingers/toes/all the things*
Until then… <3

Good Morning Monday ~ Farewell 2018, Helloooooo 2019!!!
A bargain, a cover reveal, and a bit of a schedule – Oh my!
Okay first up, the bargain sale!! Private Charter is now just 99c for a short time only! That’s 65,000 words for just a buck! It’s hot, it’s steamy, and you’ll never look at a bottle of tequila the same again 😉
Available at all major retailers!!
Now for the cover reveal!!
I know everyone has waited long enough for this book, so without further ado, here it is!! Release date: January 28th. Cover by SJ York.
Blurb:
Kennard and Stas have been enjoying being newly bonded mates, hidden away for the last six months in Stas’ cabin, deep in the forests of Northern Russia. When they get a visit from Alec, Cronin, Eiji, and Jodis, Kennard and Stas decide to return to London where they get news of a supernatural disturbance in India.
Excited for a new adventure, the band of friends embark on a journey like they’ve never seen before. Following a trail of snakes and serpents, they slip through gates into timeless dimensions all over the world, leaving them without their vampire powers. Even Alec is powerless as they follow a trail of gates and doorways to their final destination.
But the bad guy isn’t who they think it is, and Kennard will need to draw on his past to save their future. Because history is never what it seems…
<3
I can’t wait for you guys to read this. It’s 35,000 words of crazy, but it was SO much fun to spend some time with these crowd again. I hope it was all the wait!!
2018 was a very busy year!
And 2019 shows no signs of slowing down… what I can tell you right now is I will be aiming to have a new release every 8 weeks, starting with January 28th – Cronin’s Key IV ~Kennard’s Story. The next will be late March – Current WIP (still untitled) contemporary romance, then the next would be late May, then late July etc.
I have 9 audios planned this year already. They include The Blind Faith series (March-April), Thomas Elkin series (Feb-April), Private Charter (June), Galaxies and Oceans (July), and Kennard’s Story. **Please note dates are tentative and subject to change. I would LOVE to get Nova Praetorian into Audio but that one’s up in the air at the moment. It would be almost 19 hours long and that’s crazy expensive to produce as a self publisher.
I also have two book signings so far. Local ones, which will be a nice change 🙂 They are 23rd Feb in Sydney for Books By the Bridge
and 3rd March in Brisbane for BookMarked and Sexy
So yes, 2019 is going to be super busy but I am really excited! I think this year is going to be awesome!! I will also have a new website soon, but I will keep you posted! (this blog and my Good Morning Monday posts won’t change)
Okay folks, I will see you in the new year!!! Until then! <3

Good Morning Monday ~ What a Week!
It’s been a busy one, productive, and exciting. I’ve finally managed to get some words done in my WIP which is a huge relief. I can tell you it’s a Christmas story and it’s set in 1969-1970, revolved around Woodstock and Vietnam. And it’s titled A Soldier’s Wish. It’s currently at 32K and I’m thinking there’s another 10-15 to go. It’s part of a group release, involving a bunch of other awesome authors, and I can speak more about it soon. Release day is December 2nd.
I’ve also had some translation releases!
The Weight of it All is now in German! Ein Kleines Bisschen Versuching is out now!
A Chiare Linee (Clarity of Lines – Thomas Elkin Book 2) Italian Translation is available on September 12th.
And Evolved is out on audio!!
You can grab it at Audible!
And a little bragging moment… The audio of The Weight of It All was listed on USA Today as one of the Top 5 Audios to cure your Crazy Rich Asians (book/movie) hangover!! Right next to Bridgette Jones’s Diary was Henry and Reed. I could not believe it! You can read that article HERE!
And if you want to check out the audio of The Weight of it All, you can find it Audible.
Oh, and I’m registered for some book signings!! Where will I be??
GRL – Portsmouth Virginia USA October 2018 (it’s in 37 days!! eeeek!)
Books by the Bridge – Sydney NSW Australia February 23 2019
BookMarked & Sexy – Brisbane QLD Australia March 2nd 2019
RARE 2020 – Edinburgh Scotland!!! (shhh, I haven’t told my husband yet LOL)
Book Boyfriends Signing – Newcastle NSW Australia September 26 2020
Now this week I want to finish A Soldier’s Wish. A big ask, but I am determined! (And by determined, I mean way behind schedule and I just need to finish the damn thing LOL)
I’ll be back next week with a cover and blurb release of Nova Praetorian!! I can’t wait to share it – it’s my first delve into the historical genre so I hope you all like it!
Until then… <3

Good Morning Monday! September is here!
September already, which is the beginning of Spring for us Aussies. And I have to say, as much as I love winter, I’m actually looking forward to being able to sit outside and get some writing done with some warmer weather. Don’t worry, I’ll be complaining about the heat soon LOL
I didn’t do a post last week for a few reasons. Mostly because I did two the week before with the release of Private Charter and I don’t want anyone to feel like I’m spamming them. And two, I haven’t been productive in my writing so I kind of felt like I had nothing to say unless it was promo and let’s be real: too much promo is spammy. I have enough promo things with new releases, audio, and translations without doubling or tripling up. 🙂
I took a few days off social media to get my head into this WIP. It’s killing me – I swear, I know better than to agree to writing a story that doesn’t solely come from my brain. This is an anthology piece of similar themed Christmas stories and it’s been 3 weeks of banging of my head on the desk, and all I keep thinking is “I could have had another book written in this time” and it compounds to the issue of not being able to write, failing, letting people down, and the whole thing becomes a train wreck.
BUT I’m persevering. I’m up to 19K (which is ridiculously poor word count for me for three week’s work) but 19K is still better than 0. I just need to push through it. I know this is something that all authors deal with, and I’ve dealt with it before. Fingers crossed I can get the bloody thing finished. And then, as it dawned on me this morning, because I’m so far behind schedule, I don’t even think my editor will be able to see it before it’s due for release. So yay. This story is doing everything in its power to not be written LOL
Enough of that shitshow…
What’s happening this week?
Well, more writing hopefully. LOL
I also have the audio release of Evolved, which I’m super excited about. I haven’t heard this one yet, so I’m just as excited as everyone else to see what the awesome narrator, Joel Leslie, can do with Shaun!
You can pre-order it HERE
You may or may not know that Createspace (the paperback division of Amazon) is moving over to KDP (the site where we all publish our ebooks with Amazon). But KDP and Amazon do not/will not ship to Australia. So this means all Aussie authors who self publish can no longer order author copies or even proof copies of their own books. We’re directed to Amazon’s “global store” and are charged up to $28 for one book – before shipping. For our own books. Have you ever heard anything so ridiculous. Rest assured, if American authors or UK authors were treated this way, there would be riots and boycotts and protests. But apparently no one gives a shit that it happens to Australia.
So, I’m in the process of discussions with IngramSpark about setting up paperbacks through them. They distribute to Amazon and B&N and Apple, so it shouldn’t hurt customers at all. I’m just trying to figure out the best time and cost effective way to redo 50+ paperbacks. If my paperbacks are not available for purchase for a short time, this will be why.
In other news, it’s just six short weeks until I fly out to the US. I’m super excited about GRL this year and I’ve been working on some pretty cool swag. Just a reminder, if you wish for me to sign any paperbacks, you must bring them with you. Also with this breakdown of Createspace/Amazon paperbacks, if you haven’t ordered your books yet, I would suggest doing it soon! Like today. Amazon have said there is no way of knowing when they will change the books over. <3
So, in closing, I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who bought, read, and reviewed Private Charter. It was #1 in 7 countries for 7 days. That’s kind of crazy!!! I seriously do have the BEST readers in the world!
Keep your fingers crossed that I get a metric fuckton of writing done this week!! Or pray for my sanity. One or the other. Or both. LOL
Until then!! <3

Good Morning Monday ~ What’s on in August?
Yes, holy crap it’s August! This year has gone so fast it makes my head spin. It was another busy week in Walkerland, and seriously I need another word for busy. My WIP, Nova Praetorian, is now at 92K and I pretty much only two or three more scenes to write. Then I can start the endless/funless job of trying to fix it. It’s an unholy mess right now. It’s written in third person, which is not my usual MO. And for the first 50K words, I’ve somehow managed to write it from everyone’s point of view, not just the MC’s. I’ve headhopped so much not even Freud couldn’t make sense of it. LOL So that will need a whole lotta fixing.
I’ve also got the second round edits for Private Charter in my inbox, which I will tackle as soon as I get the first draft of Nova Praetorian done. Hopefully editing something that’s not a hot mess will prepare me for editing something that is. LOL
Soooo, what’s happening in August?
Evolved is now available at all retailers!
The audio of On Davis Row is out on the 31st July. Technically it’s not August but woo hoooo!!!! If you’ve been saving an audio credit, I’m saving you the dilemma of what to get! Because you need to hear this <3
Finders Keepers will also be coming out of KU to be available at all retailers toward the end of the next week. Stay tuned for the links – I’ll post them as soon as I have them!
Private Charter will be out on August 24th! It will be exclusive to Amazon (on KU) and there will be no presale links – it will go live on the 24th and I’ll be back to post links asap.
Blurb:
Stuart Jenner’s job is high stress, high stakes, and everything he’s strived for. So why, when the apex of his career is within reach, does he stumble? At his doctor’s insistence, he books a privately chartered yacht to sail around the Whitsundays for two weeks of sun, surf, and sex. When his friend-with-benefits bails on him at the last minute, Stuart decides to go alone.
Foster Knight left the rat race behind six years ago, bought a yacht, and now calls the Great Barrier Reef his home. Sailing tourists around tropical waters is all in a day’s work, and he’s never been happier. When his next client arrives alone, the two-week charter will be the most private job he’s ever had.
Foster can see how stressed and exhausted Stuart is, and he promises him extensive rest and relaxation. Stuart slowly realises his original plan for two weeks of sun, surf, and sex might not be lost yet. Confined to a yacht, isolated by aqua-coloured oceans and the sweltering sun, Stuart and Foster are about to find out just how hot the tropics can get.
I’ll be back with excerpts and fun stuff on Private Charter before release day though, so stay tuned!
Well, as you can see, August is another busy one! Have a great week, folks. Until then!!

Good Morning Monday and all the Days In Between
Thank you everyone for the kind words of support from my post last week. Self-doubt in writers is a crippling thing. It’s also a common thing amongst writers apparently. There’s been a quite few posts on social media from other authors saying the same thing. Maybe it’s the moon, maybe it’s some weird planetary alignment mishap. I don’t even know, but damn, there are some authors pulling their hair out this week.
Despite having no clue what I’m doing, and despite this story trying to kill me, I still managed to write this week. I’m now at 70K words and I’m thinking there will be another 12-15K to go. I’m still not saying much about it until I get some feedback and reassurance that it will/should see the light of day.
I’d love to get the first draft done this coming week, but with my kids still off school, I don’t know if that’s possible. Fingers crossed.
So again, I just really wanted to say thank you to the kind folks who reached out this week. It really means a lot. Writing can be so isolating but it’s reassuring and heart-warming to know people are listening. So thank you. From the bottom of my heart. <3
In Audio news!
On Davis Row is up for pre-order on Audible! Release date is July 31st!
You can find it HERE
Joel Leslie is at the mic again, and it’s awesome!!

Good Morning Monday! How is it even June already?
I swear it was just January the other day LOL. But June it is, apparently. I’ve been busy of course (something different LOL) and got quite a lot done this week.
I sent Galaxies and Oceans off to proofers, sent Private Charter off to beta-readers, had an audio book release of Starting Point, and managed 9K words in my new WIP!
This week I’ll be making all the changes I need to G&O and should have ARCs ready next week. Release day is June 25th, and I can’t wait for everyone to meet Patrick and Aubrey. Everyone who has met them already (pre-readers, betas, my editor, and proofers) loved their story, which is a huge relief!
Private Charter has been to some beta-readers who enjoyed it as well! I’m the first to admit that Private Charter isn’t exactly heavy on plot. It’s more about the sun, sailing, swimming, and smut. 🙂 But it’s also a lot of fun!
My WIP… I’ll be keeping mum about this for a little while – until I’m confident in my ability to write it and do it justice. All I will say, is that it is not contemporary, and it’s not set in Australia. I have language/vernacular issues, and setting issues, and I’m doing a LOT of research! I’m spending a few hours every day reading and researching, before I even start to write. And I’m not complaining about that. I’ve written a lot of books lately that required little to no research, so this has been fun. Private Charter required some research about sailing and yachts, and winds and currents. And Galaxies and Oceans required some research as well, but nothing like this new book.
But the characters are very insistent and vocal. They’re in my every waking thought so I’m hoping it’s a sign that they’re happy with my progress so far.
For my audio lovers…
Starting Point, the final instalment of the Turning Point trilogy, is now on audio!! I’m so very excited for this book! Sean Crisden, the narrator, has done an exceptional job in bringing Matt and Kira’s story to life!
BUY LINKS:
This coming week I’ll be extra busy with my inlaws visiting (from Monday until Thursday – please send wine LOL) then I’m taking the kids to Wollongong for basketball. It’s about 6-7 hours from here and I’ll be gone until the following Monday night, so there may not be a Monday post next week.
Until then, stay safe, and be kind! <3

Good Morning Monday ~ Galaxies and Oceans Cover and Blurb Reveal!
So it’s that time again… One month until release day! Yes, that’s right! Galaxies and Oceans will be out June 25th!
So I better show you guys the cover and blurb, right? 😉
This amazing cover was made by Lou Harper. It was a premade cover – and you all know how much I love premade covers LOL! I saw this cover over a year ago, loved it, but didn’t buy it. Then I stumbled across it six months later and it was still there. It was like it was just waiting for me to come back for it! It was fate. LOL And the best part for me, is then being able to write a story that’s moulded by what the cover inspires. And so, Aubrey and Patrick’s story was born…
Blurb:
Seizing his one chance to escape, Ethan Hosking leaves his violent ex-boyfriend, leaves his entire life, and walks into the path of a raging bushfire. Desperate to start over, a new man named Aubrey Hobbs walks out of the fire-ravaged forest, alive and alone. With no ID and no money, nothing but his grandfather’s telescope, he goes where the Southern Cross leads him.Patrick Carney is the resident lighthouse keeper in Hadley Cove, a small town on the remote Kangaroo Island off the coast of South Australia. After the tragic death of his lover four years ago, he lives a solitary life; just him, a tabby cat, the Indian and Southern Oceans, and a whole lot of loneliness. He’s content with his life until a stranger shows up in town and turns Patrick’s head.Patrick never expected to be interested in anyone else.Aubrey never expected to be happy.Between Aubrey’s love of the stars and Patrick’s love of the ocean, these two fragile hearts must navigate new waters. If they can weather the storm of their pasts, they could very well have a love that eclipses everything.<3So write down the date! June 25th! There won’t be pre-orders, and it will be exclusive to KU.
WIP news
The first draft of Private Charter is now complete!! It’s basically 65K words of sun, sailing, sand, swimming and sex. I’m not even kidding. I’m sure there’s more plot in there somewhere but for the most part, it’s all about those five S words. It’s not very often I write something that’s mostly driven by sex, but these boys weren’t having it any other way. I will make no apologies LOL
Audio news
Spencer Cohen Book Three is OUT NOW!! You can find it at Audible or Amazon or Tantor!
Translation News : Italian
Thomas Elkin Elements of Retrofit is now in Italian! I’ve waited five years for these boys to be translated, so I’m VERY happy!
You can find it at Amazon and at Triskell!
Okay, so if that’s not enough for one week, I don’t know what is. LOL
See you all next Monday!! <3

Good Morning Monday! Mother’s Day Update!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Even though it’s Monday here, it’s still Sunday somewhere, so I hope you have a great day! I spent the weekend at basketball and doing housework. Exciting life I lead. LOL Though I did get out of cooking dinner.
I had a busy week and managed a pretty good word count on Private Charter. I’m at 44K and I believe they’re now on Day 4 of their 12 cruise around the Whitsundays. They are Foster and Stuart, they’re a super sweet couple and I’m thoroughly enjoying writing their story. It’s turned cold here, so writing a book about the steamy hot tropics is a little weird. LOL
I’m not sure how much writing I’ll get done this week. I have a bit happening in RL. I want to have the first draft finished, or close to being finished, before I start edits on Galaxies and Oceans – which should be in about two weeks.
I’m hoping to have Galaxies and Oceans out on June 23rd, or thereabouts. I’ll keep you all posted on that, and I’ll be releasing the cover soon!!
A super quick reminder about my audio books! I had two audio’s come out recently. Spencer Cohen Book Three, and Breaking Point! If you’re new to audio, or thinking of trying it, you can get your first credit free!
Okay, that’s it for this week. Short and sweet. Like me. LOL Until then… <3
