Good Morning Monday and a Cover Reveal!
It’s been quite a week, and this will only be a super short post. I promised a cover reveal (and a title reveal for those who aren’t in my FB readers’ group who already know)… but I’m excited to share the last book in my Missing Pieces Series!! The blurb isn’t edited yet but I’ll share that asap!
Pieces of Us should be out July 24th. Please know that my lovely editor is laid up with a freshly broken ankle so I may have to push the release back a few days or a week if needed. Real life has to come first, and health is important. If it does look like I may have to reschedule the release, I’ll let everyone know ASAP.
All three covers together are gorgeous, and the paperbacks of the first two are striking. I can’t wait to have all three together!
Pretty sure Amazon is still having issues so chances are there will be a pre-order for Pieces of Us, once I’ve ensured that the editing and proofing is all on schedule.
Audio news!
After being dicked around by ACX (amazon’s audio platform) for three months, I’ve removed the audio files of Throwing Hearts from ACX and have uploaded them into Findaway Voices (audio distributor). Australians can’t access ACX directly (I’ve bitched about that before LOL) and I’ve always been lucky enough to have a good friend with a publishing account act as my publisher through ACX, or I’ve had audios done through Tantor.
Using Findaway Voices allows me to self-pub audios and they distribute to over 40+ stores (scribd, libraries, nook, apple, audible etc). I used them for The Dichotomy of Angels audio and it took 3 weeks for it to be available everywhere. That being said, I’m keeping my fingers crossed Throwing Hearts will be out sometime this freaking year. LOL
But the Audio of Imago is OUT NOW!!
BUY LINK
And the audios of Pieces of You (narrated by Glen Lloyd) and Sixty Five Hours (narrated by Nick Russo) are being done as I type this. I’m hoping they’ll be out, all things going well, in August/Sept.
WIP update
Still slow-going but now at 24K. I do love these characters so much!! And I’ll share some details about them when I get further along – I always worry I’ll jinx myself if I speak too soon 😉
Please stay safe everyone! It’s a crazy, strange world at the moment. Please stay at home if you can, wash your hands, wear a mask, and be kind to yourself and others. The world needs love.

Good Morning Monday ~ Cover and Blurb for Pieces of Me
I shared the gorgeous cover for Pieces of Me last week and now I can share the blurb!
Blurb:
Missing Pieces Series, Book Two
Justin’s recovery is slow, but any step forward is a win in Dallas’ eyes. Having always been a source of strength for Justin, even before the accident, Dallas is trying to find his feet again as he struggles to get some normalcy back in their lives.
But now, with added financial pressures and Justin’s ongoing medical needs, Dallas isn’t sure how much longer he can be the strong one.
As missing pieces of Justin’s memory return, Justin realises the physical side of their relationship is another piece of the puzzle he desperately wants to put back together. And as he gets to know Dallas all over again, he soon learns what his mind can’t remember, his heart can’t forget.I can’t wait for everyone to continue along on this journey with Dallas and Justin. This book deals with the slowness and repetitiveness of the recovery from brain injury, and that’s the path which these boys are on. But they are one step closer to their HEA. 🙂
I’ve sent Book Three of the Missing Pieces series off to a beta reader before my editor gets to do her magic. And that means I get to start something very new, which is always exciting! I’m trying to be brave in starting something I’ve wanted to write for years but never felt like I could do it justice. Well, I’m going to try. It’ll be a long stand-alone book, and these characters have been very patient in waiting their turn. Fingers crossed I can do right by them. But I need to pump out some serious word counts to make it happen, so my time online might be a little scarce.
I’ll be back next week with a small excerpt from Pieces of Me. Please stay safe and be kind to yourself.
Until then…

That’s it for this week. I hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

Good Morning Monday ~ Pieces of You Excerpt
It’s almost release day for Pieces of You! Just four more days!! So I thought I’d share a little excerpt 🙂
It’s hard choosing a part of a book that stands on its own without giving too much away, so I hope you enjoy this. It has an angsty beginning, but honestly, this story is about healing and the power of love.
This is Dallas’ point of view.
~
Almost two weeks after his accident, his sister, Rebecca, arrived to see him. She’d caught the early train up from Sydney on the Saturday, and I met her at the entrance of the hospital, to save her trying to find her way through the wards. She looked bone-tired, like all single mums who worked two jobs, but she was relieved to see me. I greeted her with a kiss to the cheek.
“How is he?”
“He’s okay. He’s working with the different doctors every day, like the physio and the neuro specialists.”
“He still can’t remember?”
“No. He may never regain those years, but we’re hopeful.”
She stopped walking. “He doesn’t remember you at all?”
I shook my head.
“Christ, Dallas. That’s gotta be hard.”
Hard, awful, excruciating, heartbreaking . . . “I’m just grateful he’s alive.”
She frowned. “Sorry I couldn’t get away sooner.”
“What do you mean, you couldn’t juggle two jobs and two kids to hike a couple hundred kilometres at the drop of a hat?”
Her face softened, and she gave me a sad smile. “But still . . .”
“Like I said to you when it happened, he wasn’t in any shape to see you anyway,” I explained. “But he’s getting better every day. He can see out of both eyes now.”
“Oh God.”
I brightened for her. “Come on. I told him I was going to find you. He was excited about you visiting, so we better not keep him waiting.”
I took her bag for her, and together we walked to Justin’s room. “Ugh, I hate hospitals,” she mumbled as we got closer.
Yep, even after all these days, all the hours, I never got used to the smell. It was cloying and awful. The neuro ward was quieter than most, and darker. Most patients here had noise and light sensitivities, Justin included.
I stopped her at the door. “He doesn’t do too good with loud noises or bright lights. His headaches are bad, and he has aphasia, which is trouble remembering some words. But if he asks questions, be honest. He knows he has amnesia but it’s confusing, so if he mentions anything that doesn’t quite gel, we need to gently steer him back on course.”
“Okay,” she whispered, then took an unsteady breath.
I nodded to his room. “He’s waiting.”
I’d explained his injuries to Rebecca before, but nothing quite prepared you for seeing your loved one in a hospital bed all bandaged and bruised.
The bed was slightly inclined so he was kind of sitting up. He had his injured leg out from under the blankets again, his lines of staples on full display. The matching scar on his head was bandaged, and I was thankful Rebecca didn’t have to see that. But the right side of his face was now a horror show of black, purple, green, and yellow. His right eye was open. Though it was bloodshot, he thankfully still had vision.
He’d had tests on his vision and hearing, focusing on the right side, where the most damage was, and the docs were pleasantly surprised to find all circuitry was still intact. Though when the doc had shone a penlight in his right eye, Justin had puked on him as thanks. He said it felt like the light pierced his brain and the pain was unbearable. He’d shaken and moaned, curling in on himself, and it was a short, sharp reminder of his injuries.
But yeah, while I knew it was bad, I was so used to seeing him lying in bed all banged up that I’d forgotten the shock it was for others. Rebecca put her hand to her mouth and got all teary. “Holy shit,” she cried.
Justin looked at her, then looked again. His smile was wide. “Becca?”
She went to him and hugged him carefully, and she fussed over him and he stared up at her like he couldn’t believe what he was seeing . . .
And it occurred to me, like a jolt to the heart, what the difference was.
He remembered her.
He was, for the first time since he woke up, seeing someone he remembered, seeing someone he knew.
And it wasn’t me.
~*~
FOUR DAYS TO GO!
Also, thank you for the kind messages in the last couple of weeks. A few people have messaged and that means a lot. A super quick update: my current WIP (book three in the Missing Pieces Series) is at 28K. I’m going to miss my deadline but it is what it is.
I’ll be back on the 22nd with the buylink for Pieces of You!
Until then…

Good Morning Monday ~ And a Cover and Blurb Reveal!
Pieces of You is Book One of the Missing Pieces trilogy. Each installment should be out one month apart, starting mid to late May. It’s the story of an established couple, Dallas and Justin, who have their world torn apart when Justin is involved in a serious car accident. It deals with amnesia and traumatic brain injury, and getting to fall in love all over again.
Blurb:Missing Pieces Series, Book One.Dallas Muller has everything he never expected he’d have. He owns a successful motorbike mechanic shop in Newcastle, and he’s madly in love with his boyfriend of four years, Justin Keith.Justin has always struggled to find where he fit in, never realising his true worth or what it means to be loved—until he met Dallas. Living and working together might be too much for some, but Dallas and Justin wouldn’t have it any other way. When a terrible accident tears their world apart, Justin’s left with no memory of Dallas or their relationship. Trying to put the pieces back together is almost impossible when some pieces are blank and some are missing altogether. Dallas has to let Justin find his own way back to him and just hope that their love will light the way.Pieces of You is 49,500 words.
I hope everyone is okay in these crazy times. Please stay home (if you can) and stay safe! I’ll be offline mostly so I can meet a deadline, so please take care and be kind to yourselves. I’m hoping to be back next week with an update that I smashed my daily word count goals.
Until then…

Good Morning Monday ~ Cover Reveal of Throwing Hearts!
February is already cruising along nicely! And I’m very happy to say we’ve finally had some decent rain where I live. We’ve been in a severe drought for years but we have had actual RAIN! The sound of it on my roof makes me happy! 🙂
Anyway, getting to the good stuff…
Cover reveal time!!
I don’t have the edited blurb yet so I’ll save that for later, but for now, the cutest cover! I made this cover haha but will need a professional to do the full wrap for me because I don’t have the skills for that. LOL But Throwing Hearts is a 55K word story of fluff and love and ceramics, and this cover really captures that. It kind of reminds me of my book Finders Keepers, in that it’s a sweet and sexy romance, with no conflict, no angst. And I’m not gonna lie, it’s exactly what I need in my life right now.
I’m hoping the release date will be late Feb (approx the 28th) but that will depend on a few real-life things.
WIP Update:
Current word count is 12K words, which I’m very happy with. I’m still hoping this will be a trilogy with each book being about 40K, but we’ll see how they play along when I get to the end of the first book. If it doesn’t have a proper ending, I may have to combine the three into one book. For me, each book – whether it’s in a series or not – must have a beginning, a middle, and an end. My Thomas and Spencer books each split into a trilogy perfectly, but Yanni didn’t. Yanni’s Story was supposed to be three separate books (to match Spencer) but the story didn’t pan out like that. Sure, the book has three parts, but “part one” does not make a “book one” if it doesn’t have a complete arc. At least in my eyes.
LOL Anywhooooo, I won’t know how this new book will go until I get to the end…
Hoping for another 10-12K words this week…
Until then.

Good Morning Monday!! Who’s up for a COVER REVEAL?
I have finally wrangled the first draft into some kind of presentable shape, so I’d like to reward myself by showing off the amazing cover!! Coming in at 82K words, The Dichotomy of Angels should be out at the end of December. I’m aiming for December 27th… BUT that is all things going well. Given the time of year, how busy it is, how real life gets in the way (not just mine, but that of my editor, proofreaders etc) if the release needs pushing back a week or two, I most certainly will. I won’t jeopardise quality to make a self-imposed deadline. I’m sure readers would prefer a polished product as well.
That being said… the cover. OMG I love this cover so much!!
Isn’t it just gorgeous?? Made by Creative Paramita, I just loved it as soon as I saw it! It really captures Nathaniel and Chasan, and I can’t wait for everyone to meet them. I’ll post the blurb when I have it edited 🙂
Oh, and just super quickly… My books that I have in wide distribution at the moment, will be heading back into KU soon. So be sure to grab them asap!
You can find SIR, the RED DIRT HEART SERIES, and my other titles at:
B&N
Kobo
Apple
Google Play
Smashwords
That’s all my news for this week! I’ll have more news on audiobooks soon, and will share asap. Just waiting for official confirmation!
Next week sees December roll around and it’s the last month of this decade!! *gasps* I’ll be doing some Christmas giveaways in my FACEBOOK READERS’ GROUP so be sure to join up or swing past to check them out!
Until next week!!

Good Morning Monday ~ Tallowwood Cover and Blurb Reveal!
Last week I promised to share the cover and blurb for Tallowwood, so wait no more!
This amazing cover is by Reese Dante. I had originally played around with the cover myself but something was missing and I couldn’t get it quite right. Conceding defeat, I passed it off to Reese and HOLY MOLY she nailed it!! Guys, check this out…
BLURB:
Cold cases, murder, lies, and an unimaginable truth.Sydney detective August Shaw has spent the last decade of work solving cold cases. Since the death of his boyfriend eight years ago, August works alone, lives alone, is alone — and that’s exactly how he likes it. His work is his entire life, and he’s convinced a string of unsolved cold-case suicides are linked to what could be Australia’s worst ever serial killer. Problem is, no one believes him.Senior Constable Jacob Porter loves his life in the small town of Tallowwood in the middle of the rainforests in northern New South Wales. He runs summer camps for the local Indigenous kids, plays rugby with his mates, has a close family, and he’s the local LGBTQIA+ Liaison and the Indigenous Liaison Officer. When human remains are found in the camping grounds at Tallowwood Reserve, Jake’s new case turns out to be linked to August’s cold cases, and Jake agrees they’re not suicides at all. With Jacob now firmly in August’s corner, they face one hurdle after another, even when more remains are found, they still can’t seem to gain ground. But when the body of a fellow police officer turns up under the same MO, it can’t be ignored anymore. August and Jake must trace the untraceable before the killer takes his next victim or before he stops one of them, permanently.~
Release date: September 25th
I cannot wait for you to meet August and Jacob. They would have to be two of my favourite characters I’ve ever written. Which is a pretty big call. I probably say that with most characters when I’m writing their book, but these guys are special to me. I hope you love them too!
WIP UPDATE
Oh my GAWWWWD, I finally finished the first draft of my WIP from hell. LOL It ended up at 40K words, and took weeks longer than it should have. But it’s finally done!!!
Release date will be early December. I know I’ve been having around 8 weeks between releases, but this will be approx 9-10 weeks from Tallowwood to this new one. It’s just how it worked out with schedules etc.
AUDIO RELEASE
Nova Praetorian is OUT NOW!
You can find it at AUDIBLE
And it’s already whispersynced. Which means if you bought the ebook, you can grab the audio for just $3.47usd. And that’s an absolute bargain!
THIS WEEK:
This week I’m headed to the Hunter Valley to spend a few days with Nic Starr, a fabulous and talented Aussie m/m author. There will be writing, reading, wine, and laughs, and I’m sooooo looking forward to it. I’m feeling burned out and this will be just what I need to recharge my batteries.
I have to fix my first draft of the WIP from hell, and sort out some proofing revisions of Tallowwood. I’m also working on a super short extra fun scene as a giveaway later this month. And maybe I’ll start doing some research for my next novel… I know right? Lather, rinse, repeat. It never ends! But it is STILL the best job in the world.
Until next week!

Good Morning Monday ~ Coming Up & Audio Update
Sorry for not posting my weekly update last week. Kinda out of spoons lately, not gonna lie. I’ve been taking some mental health days off social media and it has helped me regroup and recharge. Some days we just need to unplug for a bit and take a breath.
I’ve been struggling to make headway on my WIP. It’s at 27K words and honestly, I should have finished it weeks ago. But I can almost see the finish line (It’s a novella) but I really do love these characters. They’re cute and authentic, and their story is about being true to one’s self and finding people who appreciate the real you. It’s supposed to be Christmassy but it’s really about as festive as I am (spoiler: I am not festive LOL). I can’t give too much away just yet, but I can tell you my WIP is part of this amazing line up:
What:
Ace’s Wild is a multi-author series of novellas that take place in the same fictional town. The connecting element in the Ace’s Wild series is an adult store owned by a gay couple–Ace and Wilder! The main characters from each novella will make at least one visit to Ace’s Wild, where they’ll buy some kind of fun toy to use in their story. Each novella can be read as a standalone. The only characters who crossover to each book are Ace and Wilder. And with various heat and kink levels, there’s sure to be something for everyone!
Who:
Me, obv. LOL Riley Hart, Christina Lee, Devon McCormack, Annabella Michaels, SE Jakes, Morningstar Ashley, Neve Wilder, Lane Hayes, Jaclyn Quinn, Luna David, Davidson King, Alice Winters, Max Walker.
When:
The first novella will be released September 24th with one coming out each Tuesday for fourteen weeks! Given you know mine is a Christmas novella, I can say my release is early December 🙂
The Best Part:
For the first 90 days after each novella releases, royalties (buys and page reads) will go to an LGBTQ charity of the author’s choice! So…you’ll not only get some great reads, you’ll be helping a charity in the process. Each charity will be clearly labeled in the blurb of each book.
We’re so excited to bring you guys this series! It’s been killing us to keep it to ourselves. We hope you have as much fun in our quirky little town as we did! I will post more on this when I can. I can NOT wait for everyone to see the amazing covers we have for these books!!
🖤
I’ll be finishing this WIP up this week. I’m also travelling a lot in the next month, so I’ll be offline trying to get as many words written as I can.
THYD WIDE DISTRIBUTION
The Hate You Drink is now enjoying wide distribution.
You can find it at the following retailers:
Still waiting on Scribd, but here’s my author page:
Tallowwood Cover and Blurb Reveal COMING SOON!!
I’ve been working on edits and getting some crinkles ironed out, and it’s almost ready for my proofreaders. I had a general idea of the cover I wanted and I’d played around with a lot of ideas, but something wasn’t quite right. So I passed it off to Reese Dante and holy crap, she NAILED it. I’m so very excited about this book – I love the characters so much. I can’t wait to share the cover and blurb with you! Stay tuned for that next week!
IMPORTANT AUDIO NEWS
I explained the other week that my audio schedule for 2019 has changed, and I’d like to elaborate. Nova Praetorian has been uploaded into ACX and is due out any day/week now, and this will be my last collaboration with Joel Leslie. I’ve since removed all future planned collabs from my immediate schedule, and have been exploring other avenues with other narrators.
The only books I can confirm at this time are Nova (due out soon), Sir is scheduled for Nov (with Nick Russo) and Upside Down should be a Sept release (with a new-to-me Aussie narrator). I’m super excited about Upside Down coming to audio!! I’ll reveal more soon, and I’m hoping this narrator will also be on board for narrating Tallowwood. Tallowwood is a special book for me, and I’d love to have it done. But it’s another long one (approx 100K words) so it will be super pricey to produce.
In all likelihood, Kennard’s Story won’t be done in audio. Which isn’t ideal, I know. And If The Hate You Drink, Private Charter, Imago and Imagines, or Sixty Five Hours ever make it to a studio, remains to be seen at this time. I’d like to think they will, but it will be next year if at all.
I know this is disappointing for some folks, and it is for me too. But also, for some business perspective, please bear in mind that audios are hella-expensive to produce. This year alone, I’ve already spent over $15K AUD on getting audios done. By the years’ end, I will have 12 audios release this year. Getting some of my backlist into production was my plan and I have NO regrets. LOL (I love audiobooks!). And I still plan to produce audios when I can, and will let you guys know if and when that happens. Thank you for your patience and understanding. 🧡🧡
TRANSLATION NEWS
I have the Italian version of Imago coming out very soon, and the German version of Switched coming out soon, and I’m so excited! I never could have dreamed my books would be translated around the world and it blows my mind. I’ll show the covers when I can! Thank you everyone for being along for this crazy ride!
Okay folks, I have another busy week coming up, but I should be back with another update next Monday with the cover and blurb to Tallowwood. Until then…

Good Morning Monday ~ Title and Cover Reveal!!
I’m very excited to show off my cover and blurb for my next book! I’ve been sitting on this cover for months so I’m suuuuuper excited to be able to finally share it with everyone. The cover is from James at Go On Write, and I just love it.
ARE YOU READY??
O M F G is right!
This book, titled SIR, should be out late July (around the 25th?) but I’ll confirm that when I know for sure. I do have a blurb, but I’m still tweaking it, so the one that gets published could change from this one, but here it is…
Blurb:Founded over four hundred years ago, Sanctus Infinitus Redemptio is a private and very elite society where dominance and submission are revered. Steeped in tradition and excellence, every Dominant and every submissive, and their pairing, is selected with great care. When Hunter Vargo is brought into the Sanctus, his need for strict dominance sees him paired with the wrong Master. But only a short time later, mistreated and his trust broken, he’s recalled, his collar removed. The Grand Master knows it will take a special kind of Dominant to restore the sub’s faith and trust.Sig Bruckner’s world is perfect. He has a great job, he has high standing within the Sanctus, and he has Levin, the very best submissive. When he’s asked to take on a second sub, a submissive with issues and a rule not to touch him, Sig’s world is turned upside down. When his Dominance, his patience, and self-control are tested, and when Sig’s relationship with both subs is pushed past his limits, everything begins to unravel. Yet Sig knows every good Dom learns from their subs, and he’s no exception. He might not be able to fix everything on his own, but perhaps the three of them together can.Sig Bruckner is about to learn who’s really in control.SIR is a BDSM-light story, MMM and/or D/s/s. I’m a little hesitant to call it BDSM… It technically *is* but the Sanctus has different laws and rules so it’s not a traditional BDSM lifestyle (obviously safe, sane, and consensual still applies). Sig calls himself a ‘soft Dom’ and he’s not really into the S&M side of things, more into the ‘restraint and fuck’ side of it all LOL, along with sensation-play, and he gets off on the pleasure of his subs.Anywhoooo, there it is. I did say it wasn’t like anything I’ve done before… LOL But Sig, Levin, and Hunter, are wonderfully wonderful, and I’ll be sharing more about them in the coming weeks!
WIP Update:
My current project is at 43K words. I had a weird week last week. We had visitors and we were dog-sitting a rottweiler, and my kids had five days off school, so not much got done by the way of words. But I think I know what I’m doing with it now, and I need a HUGE word count this week. I HAVE to get the first draft finished in the next two weeks, and at this point that’s not looking likely.
So send up some good vibes into the universe. For me to get this done, and for whoever else might need them.
Much love! Until next week…
