  • Good Morning Monday! Mother’s Day Update!

    Happy Mother’s Day!

Even though it’s Monday here, it’s still Sunday somewhere, so I hope you have a great day! I spent the weekend at basketball and doing housework. Exciting life I lead. LOL Though I did get out of cooking dinner.

I had a busy week and managed a pretty good word count on Private Charter.  I’m at 44K and I believe they’re now on Day 4 of their 12 cruise around the Whitsundays. They are Foster and Stuart, they’re a super sweet couple and I’m thoroughly enjoying writing their story. It’s turned cold here, so writing a book about the steamy hot tropics is a little weird. LOL

I’m not sure how much writing I’ll get done this week. I have a bit happening in RL. I want to have the first draft finished, or close to being finished, before I start edits on Galaxies and Oceans – which should be in about two weeks.

I’m hoping to have Galaxies and Oceans out on June 23rd, or thereabouts. I’ll keep you all posted on that, and I’ll be releasing the cover soon!!

A super quick reminder about my audio books! I had two audio’s come out recently. Spencer Cohen Book Three, and Breaking Point! If you’re new to audio, or thinking of trying it, you can get your first credit free!

    Spencer Cohen, Book Three

    Breaking Point

Okay, that’s it for this week. Short and sweet. Like me. LOL  Until then… <3

  • Good Morning Monday ~ Holy crap, tomorrow is the first of May!

Tomorrow is May. Truly. This year is almost half done. I can’t believe it. But, as the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun… I’ve been crazy-busy. I mean, I’m always busy. I rarely ever get a minute to myself – I’m not even exaggerating LOL

This last week I took my daughter and niece to Sydney for a Harry Styles concert. I singlehandedly propped up the New South Wales economy for a while with the amount of shopping two teenage girls subjected me to, we spent a day at Taronga Zoo (my niece had never been on a ferry or to Taronga, so we rectified that) and we had a fab time. I was off social media (mostly) and it’s always nice to take a mental health break.

A little off topic here, but social media is a huge commitment for me. My main ones are Facebook –  with my general timeline, author page, and several groups – and Twitter, and Instagram. Don’t get me wrong, I do love them, but wow, it’s also a lot of work. I constantly worry that I’ll miss notifications or messages and people will think I’m snobbing them or ignoring them, so I do try and check and double check. It’s not always easy. Especially with FB being so hit and miss with any/all notifications and posts, so I do apologise if I have missed anyone.

I  love the interaction with readers, and friendships I’ve made online. I cherish them, I really do. But taking a day or two every now and then to spend time doing other things is absolutely recommended. I can’t be available to everyone 24/7. Not to readers, not to family. And no, not even to Ruby (my dog) as much as she doesn’t agree with, or understand, to be honest. She was VERY happy to see me when I got home. There was a LOT of kisses and zoomies. LOL

I also got home to a LOT of messages, posts, comments, and emails expressing utter LOVE for Evolved, which was wonderful! I am so thrilled that people are loving Shaun and Lloyd. I know that anything sci-fi tends to turn some people off, but loyal readers have been taking a chance and finding themselves thoroughly enjoying it (and 99% of people would like their very own Shaun. LOL Get in line. I’m first. haha)

For anyone who has missed it…

In Audio News! Breaking Point is OUT NOW and Spencer Cohen Book Three is up for pre-order!!  I love hearing my books in audio… it’s such a thrill for me. And these two do NOT disappoint.

Sean Crisden does an amazing job as Matthew Elliott in Breaking Point. Truly amazing. The pain and anguish Matt goes through really shines with Sean at the helm. You can find them at:

    Audible

    Amazon

Joel Leslie is a stellar performer and his portrayal of Spencer and Andrew just might be my favourite yet.

You can pre-order Spencer Cohen, Book Three at Audible

If you’re new to audio, you can always listen to the sample first. And if you sign up to Audible, your first book is free! And they give you a credit for one book a month when you subscribe. It’s an awesome way to enjoy all your favourite books!

WIP Update: Since I was away for half the week, I didn’t get as much writing done as I’d have liked. My WIP, called Private Charter, is up to 24K. I was hoping this story would be about 50K in total, but given one MC has hired a yacht for two weeks and it’s taken me 24K to get them to day 2 of the venture, I’m thinking it might be a little longer…  LOL

I also have visitors this week and my kids go back to school on Tuesday, which means all sporting activities every afternoon also start again (you know how I said I’m always busy? Yeah, I wasn’t kidding LOL) therefore I have no clue how much I will get written this week. I want ALL the words but I highly doubt that’ll happen.

Oh, and I know I’ve previoulsy mentioned Thai translations but I can now confirm the following:

    – SIXTY FIVE HOURS – mid 2018 (so, that means soon!)
    – CRONIN’S KEY series – beginning in March 2019
    – RED DIRT HEART series – beginning in March 2020
    – FINDERS KEEPERS – October 2020
I’m super excited to see these! I can’t wait to share the covers with you asap.
Okay, that’s it for this week. *wipes brow* I need a holiday LOL  I hope everyone has a great week and I’ll see you next Monday! Until then…
  • Good Morning Monday ~ Another Week!

Can you believe it’s almost the end of February? It’s just crazy how fast this year is going already, and I have a lot happening, as per usual LOL

Re-edited and Re-released, the third edition of Taxes and TARDIS is also out now!!

And on sale for just 99c!!
    BLURB:

Brent is a jock, Logan a geek; these men are a world apart. But if opposites attract, maybe it’s the differences between them that make it worth the fight.

Brent Kelly is a laid-back electrician whose only concerns are drinks with friends and which man to bed next. In need of a new accountant to sort out his nightmarish shoebox of tax receipts, he’s referred to Logan Willis.
He doesn’t expect to be intrigued by the science fiction-loving, geeky guy with dark-rimmed glasses and a TARDIS-blue shirt. So his fascination with the soft-spoken Englishman surprises him, and their mutual attraction is completely unexpected. He most certainly never expects to fall in love.
One a jock and the other a geek, both men know the differences between them are vast and could cause problems. But in this opposites-attract erotic drama, maybe it’s the differences between them that make staying together worth the fight.

    ** 2018 Edition – re-edited, re-released. No new content has been added to the 2015 edition **

    SPENCER COHEN BOOK ONE

    AUDIO PRE-ORDER

I’m very excited to announce that Spencer Cohen, Book One is now up for preorder on Audio!!  Joel Leslie really brings Spencer to life in another incredible performance. It goes live on March 6th!

    Blurb:

Spencer Cohen is the guy who gets answers to relationship questions. Playing the role of the new lover, his job is to make his client’s ex realize one of two things: he doesn’t want to break up or he really does. Either way, his client gets answers.

The ex would either apologize and beg, or turn and walk. But in the end, Spencer’s client won. If he wanted his ex back and got him, it was great. If the guy walked away, then as hard it was for the client, he knew it was over. Regardless of the outcome, Spencer’s work was done.

Andrew Landon’s ex left him without so much as an explanation. But his sister can’t stand to see him miserable, so, much to Andrew’s dismay, they hire Spencer to be Andrew’s new boyfriend to get the ex back.

For Spencer, it is never personal. Merely a business transaction. No emotions, no strings, no complications. Yeah right. Even a blind man could see how this would end.

Point of No Return in Audio

Matt and Kira’s story is FINALLY in audio! I’m so excited for this and I can’t wait for you all to listen!
And I really must say, Sean Crisden’s portrayal of Matthew Elliott is outstanding!

    Blurb:

Matthew Elliot is one of LA’s best detectives. He’s been labeled the golden boy of the Fab Four: a team of four detectives who’ve closed down drug-rings all over the city. He’s smart, tough and exceptionally good at his job. He’s also a closeted gay man.

Enter Kira Takeo Franco, the new boxing coach at the gym. Matthew can’t deny his immediate attraction to the man his fellow cops know as Frankie. But in allowing himself to fall in love with a man known to his colleagues, Matthew risks outing them both.

Matt and Kira work to keep their relationship and private lives hidden from Matt’s very public life, fearing it would be detrimental to their careers. But it’s not the other cops who Matthew should be worried about finding out his deepest, darkest secret…. It’s the bad guys.

A very quick WIP update: Galaxies and Oceans is now at 44k words. I’m thinking it’ll be around 80K all said and done. 🙂  Not sure how much writing I’ll get done this week – I have fair bit happening in RL but I’m aiming for as much as I can.

Okay, that’s it for this week. Until next week… where I might have a cover reveal for Three’s Company re-release! <3

  • Good Morning Monday ~ Cover reveal for Taxes and TARDIS re-release!!

Good Morning Monday!! God, these Mondays just keep coming at me, fast. It also didn’t help that last week I scheduled the post to go out on Sunday and not Monday LOL People who know me shouldn’t be surprised… 😛

So, Finders Keepers had a spectacular week! Truly. #1 in Gay Romance, but also #56 in all of Amazon store in the Fiction category. That’s kind of awesome! So a HUGE thank you to everyone who bought or rented Finders Keepers, and to those who reviewed. Every little thing helps visibility, so thank you!

WIP update:  Galaxies and Oceans (now the confirmed title) is at 27K. I didn’t get as much written as I’d have liked, but I’m happy with the progress. Especially with what I have going on in real life, and a release week. Oh, and edits on a re-release too…

Which brings me to my next thing…

The re-release of Taxes and TARDIS! I am SO excited to get the rights back to this book. Like REEEEEALLY excited! This was the first book I ever published, so to get it back from the publisher makes my heart very happy!

Re-release date is Feb 22nd (Amazon willing) and it has been re-edited, though no new content has been added since the 2015 edition. (The 2015 edition had an epilogue added) and of course, the GORGEOUS new cover.

I simply adored the very first cover this book ever had. And when Silver Publishing disappeared, so did that version. But I loved the cover so much, I contacted the original cover artist and asked if I could replicate it and make it my own.

I’m so very happy to show you, the forever-cover for Taxes and TARDIS…

The new edition will be just 99c for a limited time!

I’ll post the links when it goes live ASAP!

And in VERY exciting audio news, Spencer Cohen Book One will be out Feb 16th!!!  You can see it now on Tantor’s site, and it will hit Audible SOON! I can’t wait!!

Okay, that’s it for this week! Have a good one everybody, and I’ll see you next week! Until then…

    <3

  • Good Morning Monday and what a bloody week it was!

OMG this week… So busy, but productive, thank God! What I got done this week:

    • Wrote 16,000 words to finish the first draft of On Davis Row 🙂
    • Wrote the blurb for On Davis Row (I swear, the 92K word story was easier lol)
    • Completed edits on 82,000 words for the re-release of Breaking Point (Oct 27th)
    • Organised/ordered 96 paperback pre-order books to be delivered to Denver
    • The Weight Of It All was released on Audio
    • Negotiated a contract for all FOUR Spencer Cohen books to be done in Audio
    • Imagines and Perfect Catch came off KU and went to other retailers
    • Set up a CafePress store!

Not to mention the real life/mum things I’ve been doing all week. My kids go back to school this week, so I’ll have some free hours to get everything ready for my big trip to America next week!

Speaking of my trip, I leave home early early next Monday morning (16th) so there’s a very good chance there will be NO post from me next week. And the following Monday, I’ll be in Denver, travelling back to LA, ready to fly home at midnight. So there might not be a post from me for the next two weeks. I’ll be sure to make up for it though with lots of pics when I return.

I’m so excited to meeting up with everyone again, and meeting new faces! I can’t wait!!

For those who may have missed previous posts, this is the gorgeous cover for On Davis Row. I can’t share the blurb yet because it’s unedited. Release date should be late November 🙂

I can’t remember if I’ve shared with you the new cover for Breaking Point… The very talented Reese Dante made the three covers for the re-releases. Due to be out on October 27th, Breaking Point has been re-edited and tidied but no new content has been added.

Be sure to grab POINT OF NO RETURN (book 1 in the Turning Point Series) while it’s still on special for just 99c!

The audio of The Weight of it All was released this week to RAVE reviews! I’m so thrilled people are enjoying Henry and Reed’s story in audio as much as the book, and the wonderful narrator, Joel Leslie, really brings Henry to life.

You can find it at Audible HERE

Tantor Audio have requested all FOUR Spencer Cohen books!!  I’m beyond stoked for these boys to go to audio, especially Yanni’s Story, which I’d never have been able to afford to self-pub into audio because of its length. No dates yet, but I’m imagining they’ll be spread out over next year! Stay tuned for more details.

All my books will be coming out of Kindle Unlimited for now. If and/or when I decide to put them back remains to be seen. They probably will but I’m happy for them to go wide at the time being. (New releases will be in KU and Spencer Cohen 1 has two more months).

Imagines is the next title to be released wide.

You can now find Imagines at:

    Smashwords

    Payhip

And I’ll share the links to B&N and iBooks when they become available.

Perfect Catch is also going wide!

You can find it at Smashwords and Payhip!

Other retail sites to follow asap!

And my new swag store is now at Cafe Press!! There are lots of new and fun products, so be sure to check them out!

So that’s all my news this week! This week will be busy with travel plans and getting packed and organised. I have some real life things to take care of this week before I leave, so I doubt there’ll be any writing, maybe some tweaking of drafts etc, but that’s about it.

    Until then… <3

  • Good Morning Monday! Weekly update and Yanni’s paperback cover :)

Hello again! This is only going to be a super short one today. I’ve had another busy week (I seriously can’t remember when they weren’t). So a quick rundown of what I got through this week:

    • Some (not all) proofing edits on Yanni’s Story
    • Released some (not all) ARCs of Yanni’s Story
    • Wrote 11K words. My WIP is now at 19K 🙂
    • Finalised some artwork for the new Thomas Elkin Series covers (which are amazing, by the way – and I’ll share them soon.)
    • Started to proof the audio of Red Dirt Heart 3
    • and probably a bunch of stuff I can’t remember…

This week coming up, I only have three days at home. We leave on Thursday and get back on Monday (not going anywhere exciting, unfortunately) but I still have a weeks’ work to do (cry me a river, I know LOL). Anywhoooo, my list looks a lot like this:

    • Finish proofing the audio of RDH3 – and it’s soooo good. Joel slays it!
    • Finish sending all ARCs to review blogs
    • Write more words on my WIP – I’d love to be up to 25K before I leave.
    • Finalise the proofing edits for Yanni.
    • Format the final file of Yanni for ebook and paperback.

    I think that’s enough for three days… 😉

And speaking of the paperback of Yanni’s Story, I have the wrap cover to show off!  In keeping with the Spencer Cohen theme, I made up a mock cover and sent it to Sara York, who did a superbly fabulous job in making it perfect!

Isn’t it gorgeous?? I just love it! I can’t wait to hold one in my hands!

As I’ll be away next weekend and Monday, I highly doubt there’ll be a usual Monday morning post. But as Yanni’s Story is just 8 days away, I’ll definitely be posting between now and then. I’ll try and find some excerpts to share 🙂

    Until then…  <3

  • Good Morning Monday! What’s news this week…

    Good Morning Monday pic

My apologies for missing last week’s post – I was away (kids’ tennis, again) and we were that busy, I didn’t even take my laptop out of my bag.  We actually had a weekend at home this weekend! OMG they’re a rarity these days, it’s just a shame the entire time was spent doing housework and other mundane, real-life chores (the glamorous life of an author/mother LOL).

This week, Spencer Cohen Book One came off Kindle Unlimited. His 90 day exclusivity to Amazon ended, so he’s also now available at All Romance eBooks and Smashwords and Apple, and has been approved for distribution to B&N, so I’ll post that link asap.

The Italian translation of Red Dirt Heart comes out this week! And even the title, Cuore di Terra Rossa, is gorgeous. I will post the links as soon as I have them!

    ReddirtheartItalian

I do love my Italian publisher, and highly recommend them to all my author friends. Triskell Edizioni have been wonderful to me, very professional and they love their authors. I can’t praise them enough. I have actually just signed the Spencer Cohen Series to be translated, and my Italian readers can expect to see them early next year. <3

In GRL news, my flights are booked and our itinerary is done! My family and I will be doing four weeks of touring the US and briefly into Canada (for three days lol) before GRL. I know the timing isn’t perfect, and I’ll be exhausted going into GRL, but it couldn’t be helped. My husband has a work conference on in Las Vegas mid-September, which left a four week gap in between.  So, instead of coming home for those four weeks, we are seeing Las Vegas, Nashville, New York, Boston, Quebec, Montreal, Niagara Falls, Washington DC, San Fran and LA, then finally on to Kansas City.

I’m busy getting the family part organised, while ignoring everything else I need to think about (like swag lol) for  GRL.  But don’t forget, if you want me to have signed books at GRL for you, you MUST pre-order them. You can find the order form HERE – and you have until September 1st to pay for them. 🙂

Blood & Milk is still on schedule for June 23rd.  I have sent it to more beta-readers, with a different perspective on race and religion to me, looking for any possible red-flags, while my editor is working on it.  In case you missed the cover reveal I did two days ago, here is the gorgeous cover Sara York made me. I found the photo of Damu ages ago and *had* to have it. Sara made it pretty for me 🙂

    BloodandMilkNRWalker1500

And on a different note, I’ve just finished my second week (sixth session) of crossfit. Everything hurts, but the pain is getting better. Kind of. LOL  I do feel better for it though, even if my thighs feel like there are knives stabbing them and my arms are like cooked spaghetti.  >.<

    So, until next week…

    <3

  • Good Morning Monday! It’s release week for Spencer Three!!

    Good Morning Monday pic

I was away last Monday, hence the no-post. Hope I’m forgiven.  😉

So what’s been happening this last week?  Well, more tennis tournaments and travelling, five days of no writing at all, then trying reeeeeally hard to finish my WIP.   Well, I didn’t finish it, but I’m super close. Currently Blood & Milk is at 75K words, and I estimate there’s another 5K to wrap up the final scenes. But, this coming week is a release week for me, so there might not be the focus on writing that I’d like.  My MIL is also staying, the kids’ are on school holidays, and my house is always hellabusy.

Did I say release week??  Why, yes I did.

Spencer Cohen, Book Three is out this Thursday!! I can’t wait for you all to read the conclusion to Spencer and Andrew’s story.  <3

The universal pre-release buylink is http://mybook.to/SpencerBookThree

That link should take you to your regional Amazon page. If not, the following links will get you there:

    Blurb:

Learning to be in a committed relationship has been easy for Spencer. In fact, too easy. Andrew has fit into his life seamlessly. Spencer’s let go of his insecurities and hang-ups, and he and Andrew are enjoying where things are headed.
For the first time in years, Spencer’s life is unbelievably perfect.
Andrew overthinks everything. So when Spencer gets a phone call from Australia, he’s certain Spencer will push him away.
But instead of driving them apart, maybe it will solidify what they already have. Maybe Spencer will depend on Andrew more than ever. Maybe the Spencer Cohen story will come full circle, and maybe, just maybe, Spencer will have the happily ever after he never thought possible.

    Spencer 3 banner

What else is happening this week?   Well, writing madly, of course. As well as promos and giveaways to celebrate the release of Spencer Three (I’ll post more on that later), and I’ll be away from home for two days this week as well. Is it any wonder I don’t know what day it is? LOL

Oh, I’ve also approved the proof of Spencer Three in paperback, so that will be live soon as well.  And I’m working on the Spencer Cohen Book Three soundtrack on Spotify to share with you all as well. <3

And, in more exciting news, my family and I are busy trying to plan our five week across-country trip to the US to include GRL in October!!  It’s incredibly exciting, and I can’t wait to share more details as we get them!!

    Until next week…

  • Good Morning Monday! ~ 3 Weeks til Spencer 2

    Good Morning Monday pic

It’s Monday again! You’d think after so many weeks, months and years of encountering this one day out of every seven, we’d be used to it by now…  😉

Last week was another busy one.  There were physio appointments and other real life stuff, and I spent a lovely two days in the Hunter Valley with Nic Starr and RJ Jones. We got some writing done, mostly chatted and laughed, and ate a lot of fabulous food. And, after the last couple of weeks, it was just what the doctor ordered.  <3

This week it’s back to work!  Though I’m not sure how productive I’ll be when my husband has time off work and will be home for two weeks, given that I work from home. I’m sure he’ll drive me insane it’ll be great to have him around, though I may need to lock my office door and tape a note at head height, something like:

    • No, I haven’t seen your keys.
    • No, I don’t know where they are.
    • Same goes for the TV remote control.
    • Are you bringing me coffee and/or chocolate?
    • Is the house on fire?
    • Does your question really need asking?
    • On the “My Wife’s Angry Scale of 1 to Oh-Crap”, how important is your question?

In writerly news, my WiP (tentatively titled Blood & Milk) is at 16K words (which is way behind where I wanted to be by now, but whatever) and it’s just three weeks until Spencer Cohen Book 2 comes out!

I’m sooo excited for the continuation of Spencer and Andrew. So, in case you missed it, I’ll post the blurb and cover 🙂

    SpencerBlueNrWalker

    BLURB:

Finally going from fake-boyfriends to the real thing, Spencer Cohen and Andrew Landon are trying to take things slow. They know what they have could be something special and despite the flammable sexual tension, they don’t want to crash and burn.

Spencer is learning to open up, sharing the secrets of his past with Andrew. Afraid to put his heart on the line, yet seemingly unable to stop it, Spencer knows he’s falling in love with him. Andrew is petrified of leaping in blindly, yet it seems the slower they go, the faster they fall.

As they navigate their new relationship, Spencer worries Andrew will freak out when he takes on a new client. But it’s not a normal case and Spencer soon realises things are not what they seem. When things take a downward turn and they work together to help the client, Spencer and Andrew need to decide if they’re ready for the next step.

    <3

Again, it will be exclusive to Amazon, and I will post the pre-order link when I have one!

  • Good Morning Monday ~ Spencer 2 & 3 Cover Reveals!!

    Good Morning Monday pic

Spencer One release week has come and gone, and what a release week it’s been!  The reviews have been fabulous and I’ve had many people contact me to tell me just how much they loved Spencer and Andrew.

I can’t tell you how much these means to me. I’m truly so very humbled by the love. Seriously, I really do have the very best readers in the world.  <3 <3 <3

I’ve also had a LOT of people asking me about Spencer Two and Spencer Three. So, because everyone has been so amazingly wonderful, I’m not going to hold off with the reveal any longer. I know some people have already seen these, and if you’re in my Facebook readers’ group, you will have seen these before, but for the rest of the world, here is a collage of the trilogy…

    Trilogy collage

Are the colours significant? Yes. Are the leaves significant? Yes. Though we only find out their meaning in the end of Spencer Three.  (Sorry for the secret squirrel stuff, but I can’t give away all of Spencer and Andrew’s secrets) 😉

So if anyone was sick of seeing a whole lotta red on their social media feeds, you’ll be sick of blue next, and sick of green after that. *snort*  Though I’ve had some incredible compliments on the red cover, so here’s to hoping everyone loves the blue and green covers just as much.

I suppose you want a blurb as well?  Okay then, since you’re twisting my arm 😉  I can give you the blurb to Spencer Two, but you’ll have to wait for the blurb to Spencer Three.

    SPENCER COHEN, BOOK TWO BLURB:

    <3

Spencer Two is 52K words long. Release date is March 17th, and I will post the presale links asap.

So, enough excitement for one post. 😀  And back to my usual Good Morning Monday drivel. It’s been a busy week in my house, which is nothing unusual because we’re always busy.  But this week has been busier than usual.  I’ve not managed much writing with the release of Spencer One but my WiP is almost at 10K. I’m guessing it will be 50K-60K words all said and done.

I’m hoping to get away for a few days with some writer friends later this week, but as my son has just injured himself I may have doctor and physio appointments instead.  As you may or may not know, my kids are avid tennis players and it seems my son has done some significant damage to his Achilles tendon. We will find out more tomorrow hopefully when see the right people. And as a result,  my writers weekend away may not happen, but these things can’t be helped.

Writing wise, this next week will be me with my head down, tail up. I’m reengaging my internet blocker to get some wordage done (I disabled it during release week for obv reasons) but it’s back to business this week. I have deadlines to meet, and I’m also expecting edits on Spencer 3 to hit this week as well.

Though seriously, even when I have deadlines, and editing, and word count goals to make, and I’m so busy I don’t have time to think, I still have the best job in the world.

Much love, and stay safe.  Until next week…

    <3
